  1. Truth be known, I think we've all had that experience. The sad thing is there's so many fools pretending in this game you'd do well to find anyone to teach you anything worth knowing. Good luck in your education, and here's hoping they don't fill you full of shit and hold you back.
  2. If you in any doubt, take her to see a vet to make sure she's not suffering in any way shape or form. The first question you'll be asked is "is she under the care of a vet"
  3. Google it, there's tons of information on there
  4. Pen and paper or a good memory With any luck it'll never go that way
  5. I've owned (many years ago) two staff x lakeys and a Russell x English bull, the two staff lakeys were absolutely bananas. They were both iron hard, they had heads like sledgehammers and were both as useless as they were beautiful to look at. The English bull x Russell was a very good bitch, I gave her to a friend who lost her to ground. When I say lost I mean lost, silly c**t put her in a big place with no collar on and had the fire brigade out looking for her with no joy ! A waist of a decent animal.
  6. Tracy, a digging dog that stays till the job is done doesn't have to be hard.
  7. I wouldn't say bull blood gives prey drive. Aggression and prey drive are two totally different things. I'm not going to quote percentage because quite frankly I'd be guessing, but I will say that most bull blood these day if not all is bred for the almighty pound rather than for prey drive or aggression. I personally can't see the point in adding bull blood but that's my opinion and I don't claim to know it all, we can only go off our life experience and in my life I've seen nothing in bull blood that I'd want in my terriers.
  8. I'm not going to defend the man, but he had the dog at stud while he was still digging to him. He never put anyone's arm up their back to use it
  9. the voice of the defeatist Probably right, but a raid on your property and a seizure of your terriers will do that to a man. Still out digging though, which is more than most on here. Happy hunting
  10. The owner got out of the terrier game, same as anyone else with any sense.
  11. All cheap so far, postage is steep mind. I'll keep an eye on a few but if I win it would be cheaper to drive lol. Good luck with the sale
  12. Donn I was just saying to a mate yesterday that you never see anyone bend a dog double at a show anymore. When I started a terrier judge or anyone that was having a look at your dog would fold the f****r in two, I think if you did it at a show these days you'd be up on a charge lol
  13. f***ing disgusting price and disgusting parents, ugly fuckers
  14. I don't know owt about lurchers but how can you compare killing rats to earth work. If I have to explain then you've never had a true WORKING terrier. I've had lots of good days out ratting, I take it for what it is "a bit of fun", each to their own. Good luck ratting, and have fun whatever you do.
  15. My arse and my f****n arse, but hey call me old fashioned
  16. Wasn't having a pop at any one in particular. If someone's dull enough to put a picture of a fox and his terriers these days then put a few pics of a dig and a story to go with it. A fox in a picture could of been found by the side of the road. And IMO killing a poxy few rats does not make a terrier a worker, it may put a string on his bow but a worker...not to me
  17. It's something when killing a few rats classes a terrier as working, ffs get a grip.
  18. I'm not knocking it mate, can't beat a bit of shovel porn
  19. All I can say is you've all been lucky. Your right of course, a dog is designed to eat raw meat, a pup on the other hand gets it's meat either from it's mother partially digested or fresh from the kill, not flesh going over it's sell by date or flesh given in the morning and left with them. Best of luck with your pup
  20. Shovel porn BROCK DOG, love the one where they're flat out on the settee :-)
  21. Raw tripe is full of bacteria, campylobacter, E coli, salmonella and many more, ALWAYS cook raw food for pups. Campylobacter even gives a false positive test for parvo. Be very careful when feeding pups
  22. You could be done for causing unnecessary cruelty, if any dog showed any injuries that would be enough to get you charged. IE you didn't have permission therefore there was no reason for either the death of the fox or any injuries to any animal in pursuit. This was pre ban too
  23. Good luck, don't count on them being local, fuckers move them sharpish.
  24. Goof luck out there mate, hope it works out for you. Keep thinking of going to France myself, it's got to be a family choice though.
