Good post, I've educated a lot of people with that particular case.

Just from my experience, I was never given any chance to challenge any warrant, I had a look in the back of a police van just before I got taken away. Once I opened a door they were in and I was placed under arrest, once under arrest then it was seconds before I was in the van and away. The warrant named the leading officer and "others" no one specific so no slip ups. The best advice I could give you is have your house in order before it happens, veterinary records, writen permissions and so on. If in any doubt get legal advice before it happens

The new rabbits would pick up the mixi as soon as they use the warrens, it's the fleas that pass it on and they can lay dormant for a very long time

For Sale 14 Month Black Terrier Untried
dillydog replied to Ripstop's topic in Working Dogs & Livestock
In a similar boat but I've got a good woman to see to the terriers. Get well and take it easy -
We preach to them about living by our laws over here, "when in Rome" he should be turned over to the locals for a good old fashioned stoning

Some Of The Lads On Here May Be Interested In This
dillydog replied to branch hopper's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
What he just might mean is to some people their dogs are just more than a tool and a bragging right in the pub, to some they are family, believe me when I say there's nothing I wouldn't do for my family. -
Better off on Facebook, the picture would get more publicity

Some have the good sense not to explain themselves and risk being persecuted by the stupid laws of this land. Safe to say I've seen enough feom my youngster to know he's worth bringing on. I wouldn't tolerate a coward, but learning the trade and seing a dog mature is a different thing.

I've a young dog on at the minute who's over two years old and is still piecing it together. Age is just a label, it's up to the owner to bring out what's in the terriers breeding. When did it become a race to have pups enter early ? And who's to say when enough is enough with the youngsters chances ?

Lokking A Fox Only Bolting Terrier
dillydog replied to baz69's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
I can agree with a few sentiments on this thread, my own take on it is the terrier quite rightly needs putting to enough game and enough situations that it learns it's job. Some are naturals and some are just dumb and need the graft to learn. As for pushing a dog till it fails ! IMO if you want a terrier that quits, go look in a inexperienced terrier mans yard, he's the one tgat can't see it coming and will push a dog to far, it's not just the terriers that have to learn the job. -
Oh and not to forget the classic, when they hit you with the "I pay the mortgage, it's my land" tell them " the mortgage gives you the right to put the cattle in the field, it's still Gods country it'll be here when you're gone" they don't like that one lol

When I was young, if they didn't let me on when I knocked the door (and this has happened a few times) very true il use that next time lol I've had them tell me never not while I'm farming ! my reply when I was a lot younger was "I'll out live you, you miserable w@nker"

I used to get asked what the f@@k do you think your doing on here ? You haven't got permission. My reply was "God gave me permission" , which usually got the reply "it's my land" to which I'd say "it's Gods, not yours, it was here before you and it'll be here after your gone, so f@@k off " which in turn I'd get the reply " ask next time you cheaky tw@t", there on in it was my permission for life lol.

My thoughts exactly

I've always preached to everyone I know that a vote for anyone other than conservative is a waisted vote, well not anymore. I'll be voting UKIP as will my whole family.

Patterdale Lines And Their Uniqueness
dillydog replied to Dead Eyes's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
Your question would take a lifetime to answer, in short there's nothing unique about a line. Every line has it's pros and cons but in every line there's different characters and characteristics. I keep Stevens blood, mainly because of there work ethic, coat and they're not (usually) dog aggressive. But and it's a big but, no two dogs are the same. With any luck IMO the best we can aim for is dogs of a similar stamp and style. -

Good luck putting a label on him rabbit hunter -
Truth be known, I think we've all had that experience. The sad thing is there's so many fools pretending in this game you'd do well to find anyone to teach you anything worth knowing. Good luck in your education, and here's hoping they don't fill you full of shit and hold you back. That was a long time ago D, I learned from my own mistakes & the first dogs I had. Learned a lot from a red lakey bitch I bought for £, the terrier that wouldn't leave its quarry & taught me to learn your land before letting a dog like her off lolI was thinking more of the original poster Corky

I've been a conservative voter all my adult life, but I honestly think it's time for a change, for myself and my country. Yes he'll have to jump through a few hoops to get where he wants to be but I'll be voting UKIP next time regardless of whether it gets whoever in or whatever coalition, if we can't vote with honesty then why should we expect any difference from the political elite. Farage talks a lot more sense than any off the others and as far as I know he hasn't changed his tune to conform.
