  1. That's fantastic Clive. I detest hearing about dogs being neglected or cruelly treated. Glad yours has a happy outcome. We are due another dog as our oldest is quite old now, and even the pup is seven! We will probably rescue this time.
  2. The field is mine. That bit I use as the air rifle range is 68 yds to the small hedge.
  3. Look forward to seeing this when it is finished. ?
  4. And what a beauty she is Clive ! Hopefully you will have many adventures together. Its not manic down here, but not slow either. Enough to keep me in pin money, but without working up a sweat ?
  5. It was just too nice to not get a couple out for a plink. Decided these two needed airing as they've not been out of the cabinet for months.
  6. What oil would you suggest please? It does indeed look/feel dry.
  7. Cheers peeps. Probably one of the dearest 99s around, but it was an itch that needed scratching. ?
  8. I know, can't get the Mrs to do it yet, Iwill keep nagging her! ?
  9. My 99 came back from Lyn lewington yesterday after having its final alteration. Lyn fitted a v-mach glide kit, immediately put all the component's back together, and now this is how she looks.
  10. Some more lovely items there John. I was really hoping to meet you and hopefully have a chat at Nuneaton last weekend, but unfortunately the chance never arose. Jamie.
  11. Hi mark, has the sport settled down now? I assume from the great grouping it has. Lyn's got one of my 99's at the mo, he's fitting the v-mach glide kit, rang me this morning saying it's now got a spread of 4 fps over ten shots. He has asked if you were unhappy with his work as he hadn't heard back from you since he sent it back. I said that from what I've read you were happy I thought.
  12. Next sheath on the go. Not perfect, but I think each one gets a little better.
  13. Lots of places. The steel from GFS, and some of the wood. Most of the components so far have been off the bay (cheaper), In fact actually, now I come to think about it, nearly everything is from the bay, even stuff for the leatherwork, with exception of the hide which I bought from Italy.
  14. Been a couple recently on airgunbbs. I'm so tempted each time ?
  15. I do like liners too, they really can set off a knife. ?
  16. Oh one other thing! My bevels are pretty shocking I know. I had to do them free hand, but now ordered a bevel jig, also a knife vice so quite an expensive week. ?
  17. They looked totally naff when I first put them on. My mate who makes knives for a living insisted it would be fine once I'd sanded and oiled. He was of course correct ?? I would use g10 again now I see the light.
  18. Pretty much finished, sharpened and stropped, as my old man used to say "a blind man would like to see it"
  19. Rough shaping done on the next one, not used g10 liners before ? not sure I will again, just have to see how it turns out, the birds eye maple is more interesting than I thought it would be though.
  20. What a brilliant write up! Better than half the drivvle written for the mags these days. ?
  21. Wtf ! Are you aware this is only an internet forum? Talk about getting your nickers in a twist over nothing. ?
