I know a little of the Eire packs and an hell of a lot about class divisions,its often easier to look for division where it does not happen,in the interest of a quarrel.

All my terriers are heavily line bred,ive mutts here that are sisters,aunties and nieces,fathers uncles and nephews within a few generations.The odd outcross is used as long as its well bred back into the line and apart from the infrequent slipped jaw ive never had a problem.

So the dog and owner have managed to bypass all of the fecking season,when the mutt could have managed a lamped fecking rodent in october and im now fecking negative.Id have started it in September,caught a bunny on its first night,made it a decent lamping jukel by october and a fecking good-un by the time it was 18 months old.By all means lets be positive about this?.

Again total shite,especially in your neck of the woods where the class divisions are far less well pronounced.There is not a mounted pack in the country or Eire that does not heavily rely on the less well heeled to make a day of the hunt.Ive no fecking time for the average hooray Henry and Henrietta that tag along,they would,nt know a days hunting if the horse threw them on a dead fox.The less well heeled are well thought of on every hunt they carry.

The flack Hancock,now his daughter,brought and bring upon themselves is the fact that they have set up an industry in the production of Collie bred lurchers.Old man Hancock saw an opportunity and took advantage of it and the folk that don,t have a fecking clue,on the whole.The Hancocks earn reward from producing average lurchers for average lurcher folk,again on the whole.If Between them they must have produced well over a thousand pups?.The vast majority of what they produce is more than suitable for the majority of folk that beat a path to their door,in all the hundreds of puppies they farm

If i own a terrier that can live with my mistakes id be happy enough to live with a terrier that seldom makes a mistake,if the same mistake crops up throughout the season id get rid.

Ill warrant many an hill farm in S.Wales are blessed with a purposeful Collie or 2,or follow poxon,s advice which would be better suited to the working ability and aptitude of the pups.

There as never been such a thing as a pure Bedlington,the KC lines are as mongrel bred as the so called working lines,especially the Gutchcommon and granitor.The KC lines are polluted with non working mongrels,the pedigrees are as honest as the folk that write them?.The working mongrels are a better representation of the breed,in type and character than any KC fluffy that neither looks or acts like the breed was meant to do.

Few people on this planet acknowledge or recognise,more than me,what the deerhound brings to the table,if i had a choice of a Deerhound/grey or a Saluki-bull-Grey hybrid id pass on the Deerhound x.Deerhounds now are a very pale shadow of what they where,source me a lurcher to lurcher bred Deerhoundy with a work ethic over a KC arse wipe of paper and id not touch a Saluki-Bull-Grey.

Meaty ribs,offal,beef and fat strippings,what the mutt catches and a mixture of all of these and biscuits if required,even chicken mince if its a lesser part of barf.

The worst feed to give mutt is a biscuit diet,the second worst is minced chicken,its cheap and cheerful and fills the belly and thats about it.If you are happy enough sourcing cheap shite to feed your dog on buy a bag of wag or some minced fowl,otherwise do the mutt a favour and try a little harder to meet its requirements.

Id be miserable to walk away from an honest hare that a rabbit dog could never give justice to,yet if i could only hunt one quarry the humble bunny is a far superior animal,as an hunting experience,than any other quarry.I like venison,ive an inclination to reynard,i absolutely adore and respect the hare for its supreme athletic ability,yet its little cousin is able to influence hunting lifestyles and lurchers more than any other quarry,until we lose our purpose and take hunting to serious.

Bedlingtons do have lugs that are generally larger than the average terrier types,no doubt something to do with their hound ancestry.

Young lads take an awful lot of stick at times,often well earnt,yet there are a few about that can hold their own in any company and our hunting lifestyles are better because of them,i had the pleasure of standing and watching the very best of what the younger terrier lads had to offer on a recent rescue and the worst of what a young twat with an ego polluted the dig with.Well done lads you are a credit to the dog and the sport.

Im only a couple of minutes from the canal and often used to take a spinning rod and a few silver lures whilst i walked the dogs at night,a few miles along the canal and id catch more than i did daytime,fecked now because of the eastern europeans,who would want to eat a muddy canal pike?.
