Lol it would be strange thing to make up! Buts that's exactly how it happened :-) I expected that reaction, but hey, who cares.....I could of left all that out & just explained the bolt... The stupidest fox in the world as an habit of evading the attentions of its seekers, especially if they are thrashing cover to get to it,they have an habit of getting on their toes as soon as you close the car door,if your honest in your post ill make my sincere apologies and wish you well mucker, yet?. Your assumptions on foxes of course are correct morton, but again, I've told it exactly so.....I m

Eat it,if your dead afterwards god bless,it should have been gutted within minutes of being shot,an hour or two will not ruin the meat,a few hours more may not be best practice but will do little harm.

I take little heed in what most say, can,t be arsed, there are possibly 2 people in the world of lurchers that i pay any attention to,yet ive never had the misfortune to meet either of them, the only reason i perused the CMW, before i finally cast it aside, was Skycat, that lass knows her onions from turnips, the other was P.Lloyd,i had affinity with his abrasiveness and direct and honest approach, something akin to P.Taylor, would i put the observations of Willow in the same category?,nope, ive read his input on here,OK at times, pish the rest, imo.

Fox,s that let you get to a few feet off them without realising, again and again,in cover you navigate, bollocks.

The best working lurcher ive ever owned won shows,as also did the best digging dog ive ever had the fortune to set shovel to,id have them both again in the kennels,if only.Id agree that the majority of show stock is dross, yet the odd diamond comes from dirt.

The only reason i go out once a year is so that complete strangers and people i rarely see crawl all over me,with the copious amounts that i have an habit of drinking on this occasion i even hope some of them are female, you take what you get offered at my time of life?.

It would possibly be discourteous not to,at least 7 times.

A decentish terrierman will read the dog and know if it wants it or not,or is not yet quite ready,an early cull as possibly buried more than its fair share of honest terriers and an owner with to much patience should get the shovel out sooner,at times, funny old world.

Good post,very good.

Ive had many a dog that ran a fox and either bumped it to get a neck hold or had the knack of awaiting a neck strike,if your locking horns with a certain P.Taylor and her knowledge from the field good luck, you may need it.

The majority of terriers should at least show their potential at a youngish age,not sure about the 1st season, ive a dog here that was bolting fox at 12 months, ive another that was pish until she was well over 2 years of age, she,s the best dog in the kennel now and would maybe have been a cull elsewhere,i knew her breeding and persevered were others might not.All terriers are individuals, even out of the same litter, patience is often rewarded,at other times a cull would have been more appropriate, yet many a mutt as rewarded a patient owner.

I believe Penny covered the liquid side,1lb of tripe is not a soup, unless its liquidised with a couple of pints of chicken stock,an onion, garlic clove and a pinch of salt, then over 2 pints of soup in a dog would not have it do much more than fart and sleep.

A few years ago i owned a decent coursing sapling, the word quickly got out among the lads that lived 9 miles from Keighley and they wanted to see it run,if id refused they would have been even more curious,so a run was arranged,so as the mutt would not run at her best i fed her about a pound of the said tripe an hour before. On the day an hare lifted at 30 yds and the lads hollered for me to loose the Saluki hybrid,i let the hare have a little more and slipped her at 70yds,she bent and twisted it for a good minute or more and then stood honking her guts up,then was useless to run the rest of th

I spent years on 3 of mine at the Jiu-Jitsu,competitions and gradings, best time of my life, humbling at times. The confidence it instilled in them can be seen in them now as adults, plus the discipline they got from it,well done.

The chances of the mutt developing problems when exercised with a feed in it may be rare, yet they happen, the chance of a mutt developing problems with little in the gut are far,far rarer.then again there is exercise and exercise. Luckily I didnt experience any ill effects in the dogs. The beagles would be on the go for 4,5,6 hours. which would be more extreme compared to the lurcher and terriers The lurchers that have been fed before a decent gallop stand out from the rest, they are bent double spewing their guts up.Even the bushers work with less desire when they have a belly full of grub

Ive it all planned for this year, especially with all the graft our lass puts in throughout the rest of the year and the previous years, she,s a diamond,so its a bottle of wine at home,a few romantic candles burning with the lights low,a takeaway and a romantic dvd to watch,i hope she appreciates my effort whilst im down town with the lads enjoying myself.

Would you want 10 prints like that?,even for £7.50 apiece.

Genuine working type Bedlingtons are far smaller than their KC cousins,at times, thus the lads seeking a Beddy to put over their Whippet etc.,use the larger types to gain the height needed, plus lads with genuine workers are often reluctant to use an earth dog for small lurcher production, there are a few lads with the bigger Bedlingtons, there are some big-uns,that are honest about their terriers working lifestyle and use them in lurcher production,my tallest Beddy is less than 15",many types,KC or hybrid are 19" plus,a 19" plus mutt would seem a more logical choice,id go with a smaller option ov

My bushers are fit,not fat, yours is possibly the same, the diet seems more than adequate,if your worried feed it more,i doubt it will need it yet will do no harm.

Anybody that can turn a dollar from utilising their charges in a working environment im in envy of,anybody that can turn a dollar from the production of pups, fair play to them.Id have liked the opportunity to get paid for my hunting lifestyle id be far less inclined to seek financial reward from working dog production, quantity over quality would then be an essential part of the process, the reality some care little about. Each to their own and the people that keep them in pocket,i know what a litter costs to bring on,the majority of folk will always be left out of pocket from such enterprise.

Was the fell terriers original job to account for foxs in places that could not be dug or was this just more shit to fill pages in books. Was the fell terriers original job to account for foxs in places that could not be dug or was this just more shit to fill pages in books. fell terriers were bred to kill foxes pal Fell terriers were bred to serve the owners purpose,in the Dales and Fells were the breed flourished, then furnished kennels further afield, many of these owners needed a terrier that could shift the fox from its underground haunts,a dead fox below served little purpose

Some did many did not,as with any terrier type. The majority of Beddy hybrid lurchers are bred from KC bedlingtons that have no work ethic whatsoever, again the majority, thus a poor working start for any progeny, then we have to look at some of the Whippets used in the production?,thus both sides of the breeding is often of lesser quality than we may wish for.Hybrid vigour evens this out some what,it must do because many of these dross bred mutts make little crackerjacks at work, thus the kennel these dogs end up in will play a major part in how the pups development pans out.

The days of terrierwork and terriermen are numbered,pre-ban it was so much easier, before the Badger act it was easier still. There are terrier folk, and terrier folk, always been the same, ones expectations were often frowned on by another.Anybody that can work a terrier to the potential of the lads of years past as my utmost respect, especially the honest types amidst them.
