    You only have to see a Coursing Grew in flight to see what it as to offer,plus they can balance a litter out like a lurcher cross never can.One of the best Hare catchers and fox slayers was an ex track dog,lacked stamina yet added so much to the litter he sired.They are far more useful and versatile than some will lend you to believe,id still use a lurcher stud over a Grey though.

    I once worked in a slaughter house and knew the difference between an animal stunned and then bled out from one that was put in a crush crate,turned upside down then bled out,for the sake of the muslims and the jews.The animals that were stunned did not kick and scream about the same as the others.To save on stun bullets ive witnessed a long row of lambs,skewered through their hocks,thrashing about whilst they awaited their throats slit,for a more christian market,the thing is a christian would not accept such practice,a muslim or jew would.

    Many moons ago a couple of the Keighley muslims drove me and a mucker up the Dales for a little rabbiting foray,all they wanted was the odd rabbit to say a prayer over before they slit bugsy,s throat,as me and the mucker would not have ventured as far at the time without their driven assistance we turned a blind eye to their religous beliefs.When we took hold of a rabbit it was a quick and instant neck stretch and dead,their killing was a lot longer drawn out process,a lot longer.Dead is dead i suppose,yet the muslim and jewish religions prolong it for no obvious reason.

    All dogs are mongrels,fact,all breed types,be that Great Dane,Cocker Spaniel,Jack Russel etc.etc. are line bred to produce a specific type of canine.The KC in its infinite wisdom set breed standards that are at odds with a Working Standard.The hybrid Bedlingtons about now are much closer to the ORIGINAL in character and TYPE than the vast majority of the so called KC pure breds,the majority of which have hidden lineage that the breeders wish to disguise.Thus in my mind anything that looks and works like the early Bedlingtons is better befitting the name than the vast majority of their modern c

    Not having a pop willow but id never work mine as close to heavy traffic as that,if the rabbit could get under or through mine would follow or go over,plus its impossible to know what will next pop out of the brush and make its escape.Busy looking mutts you have there,impressive.

    I spent many a season in the field with a muckers Whippet/Collie,the dog hunted,marked and grafted with honest intent into its 12lth season,then met a shooting accident,never seemed to get ill or injured,always ran itself into condition and was one of the cleverest mutts ive had the pleasure to hunt with,yet lacked the pace that let it down far to often,id own it now though.

    Anybody that pays £30 for the chance of a bit of ribbon needs a reality check,folk don,t mind paying a reasonable sum to attend the odd show and support an honest cause,meet and greet and share a pint and a tall story,at £30 its intended to attract another far removed from the average lurcher and terrier sort.

    All depends on the individual pup,id not exercise a pup to exhaustion as it will do it more harm than good,pups should enjoy the exercise and rest as they wish.They will let you know when they have had enough,then its bed and fed.At 6 months of age an healthy pup will breeze a couple of miles and a free rein in the grass.

    Lakeys/Fells, whatever we wish to call them,have common ancestory with the Bedlington,i find they better suit the development of the modern Beddy better than the Border.

    Don,t take it to serious,steer clear of the NRLC organised shows and just enjoy the day for what it is,the chance to meet a few like minded souls and an education into the nuggets that are about.

    without outcrossing there would be little hope or chance of producing mutts that grafted like a terrier should and had the conformation of the original type Bedlington.The KC brigade bred the Bedlington to be so far removed from the original to make it far,far,far removed from anything a Bedlington ever resembled.All Bedlington lines owe much to outcrossing,the pedigrees may disguise that fact if honesty ever comes into the equation.If the aim is to produce a Beddy that grafts its imperative that form plays an important role,otherwise you just have another X bred terrier,any outcross programme

    But I don't like cheap stuff and they do look the dogs bollocks. The last time i started looking at dogs bollocks,i became another divorcee,she was from belfast., Lovely Catholic,nice tits,more life in sick note,if id have strapped a wagon battery under her spotty arse we may have overcome our differences,she gave me an ultimatum,the dogs or her,silly cow.

    All Bedlingtons are related,mine are a long way un-related to anything from Halifax,guaranteed.

    The last time i witnessed a more restrictive collar,im not giving away my age,Ghegis Khan was wearing it,14 years later he united the tribes and conquered europe.They are overkill,strong,durable,heavy,useless,egoistic yet soooooooooooooooo not needed,especially as far,far cheaper and leathery equivalents are proven to be far,far better.

    Its like Crufts,useless fecking mutts that masquerade as workers get all the reward,i now need a working one,or one thats bonny enough to win a show.Ive got it sussed,brown nose the fecking nuggets that organise the NRLC shows and the comics that judge them,throw a Shire horse collar on one of my useless runners,talk the talk and im sorted,OR,buy a strip of leather for a £5,yank it around my ugly jukels skinny necks,watch them catch without needing to throw them out of the 4x4 and throw the plough away that comes with the collar.Don't hold back Morton.     Ive reluctantly got rid of one because it needed to be dug to,to often,did,nt suit my hunting lifestyle,my lad as kept its brother that as to be dug to rapidly or the fox is dead,useful mutt at times,yet not my sort.
