no nt really only because dnt want 2 b on the same spot all day. we got 3 or 4 dogs 2 try on any one day we go out nd the more spots we check more chance of finding game for them. Why would you be on the same earth all day,i know its educated game and all that but if the dog in question is up to it and dont let the quarry push it about i cant see why you are on 1 spot all day.If the terrier is geting pushed everytime you are almost through to it,then i would be asking myself is the terrier in question up to it work wise. Not knocking your dogs as i dont know you or have never seen your do

Went to a small lake yesterday eve to try for a couple of ducks. This lake is in the middle of no where at the back of beyond, lol, and when i reached the edge there was a couple of pallets tied to 5gl plastic drums where someone was using it as a raft.No kids or youngsters go near this place as its too awkward to get to,and there was also some empty beer cans in a plastic carry bag,so i reckon it was same breed of c**ts,lol, they wont be using the raft again.I dont know how they find these little lakes hidden away so well.

I did not catch it macker,i said a chap i know caught it just down the road about 2 mile from me,i actually mentioned the lake to you the day we spoke on the phone.

Get yourself a few decoys buddy, and arrange them on the water where you think the ducks are coming into, there should be signs like feathers on the water.Place your decoys within range of your hide for shooting and start feeding that area every day or two.If you only shoot it once or twice a week you should get good shooting all through the season providing you keep feeding it and no one else is shooting it.

Even if she did have a heart attack and died while out hunting, isnt it better than been shut away in a run for the rest of her days,at least you will have known she would have died doing what she liked, and what she was bred for, fair play to the bitch, she looks in good shape.

WHOS ARGUEING,,,,,, IM JUST TELLING YOU SOME OF THE STATEMENTS YOU HAVE MADE You are right,i have had a lot of different type of terrier down through the years, but if it was a f*****g pom and it worked to the standard i want i would use it.Im not bothered about what type or colour they are as long as they do the job i ask of them.As for my age well not as old as you might think but in terriers a long time, and

Great to see the young lad interested in the game,my lad is 28 and he came out once when he was about 8,told us we were mad then and still to this day says im mad to be at it.He plays golf so i tell him he is even madder to be trying to hit a little white ball into a hole in the ground, and when he does get it in he takes it out and starts all over again, lol,f*****g mad or what.

Good evening flight dee, plenty of lakes about me but not enough guns on them to keep the duck moving,so we just shoot the river and a couple of pools.

We dug again this morn pa,out early home early, thats what we do this time of year.We are mostly working youngsters in easy places so 2 or 3 digs in a morn is not a big deal.I will usually go where there is a good amount of earths in the 1 area so no need for traveling about with dogs locked into boxs.I know all the lads in or around my area are diging this past 3 weeks or so,not that over warm early morn. you leting all your run for later in the year? Yes everything is let run for another day unless the farmer or landowner want otherwise, then you have to accomadate, lol. same down h

spot on buster a shit bag is a shit bag and no amount of time will change that. Exactly, you cant make a terrier go to ground if it dont want to.

They all have different temperments and attitude towards earth work,as old timer said, some go in hell bent on killing anything in front of them and others take ages before they finially switch on and turn into diging dogs, and then there is some that never will. All anyone can do is rear the said pup to the best of there ability and when it comes of age start taking it out, then you will be hoping for the best but you should also be prepared for the worst.

We are into double figures already, but as scent said, ground is very hard.We had 2 digs last sunday morn,1st was in the middle of a barley field nice and handy, about 3 to 4ft easy diging, next was on a bank but ran out into the field another nice handy 1,but there the 1st handy diging we had so far,the rest were torture, lol.
