deffo a good price you got it for, my best mate was sodding off to oz to live, and let me have his one for £500, its great for lamping the orchards, gets in very little spaces, works very well, if lamping alone, you can run it in 4 wheel mode LOW and it crawls along at around 0.1mph, leaving you free to point the lamp and shoot with the minimum foot control a bit small when carrying dogs and ferreting gear, so bought a small trailer off e bay, solid top, great for getting nets/rabbits in etc anyone with a spare nudge bar gimme a shout, their like rocking horse shit

congratulations mate now get out lamping tonight

Good common sense this post, but what is the "dress respectfully" bit all about. He's a hunter after killing animals . Its not a funeral or a wedding, just go as your normal self. Mention that you will be alone, they like that(then later when you know them, you can ask to bring a friend if needed). And dont mention lamping straight away, get the permission first. A lot of farmer will not tolerate lamping, due to phesant, grouse, partridge theft! Offer your catch to them, before you have caught anything. meaning, if i catch a rabbit or two, your more than welcome to them!! Good luck...

ok, does your dad help out?, can he be named on any letters, permissions etc, are the allotment people on your side, to help in anyway possible as far as writing letters with there name on etc the little old ladie who keeps horses, should know the expense of calling a vet out to attend a horse that has tripped down a rabbit scrap or burrow but get the allottment to write a letter, or phone her, saying the rabbits on her land are entering their land and eating produce, then quote prevention of damage by pests act 1949 pests act 1954 she has the obligation to control the rabbits on

so lets get this straight, THEY have a rabbit problem, yet are dictating to you, how you must get rid of them to be honest, if it were me, I'd tell them to stick it, the college and another place I ferret, both asked first and stipulated ferreting only, on inspection of both permissions, I pointed out the cons on ferreting only, and subsequently got permission on one to snare, shoot(air rifle), live catch and ferret, and on the college to ferret and live catch, with the wording on the permission letter to be, to eradicate the area of rabbits in a humane manner at the end of the day, its t

so in that case, I'd go with live catch traps,

oh, I regretted it for 16yrs, then I divorced her (first wife that is) have the time to look on here, as we were going for the big hum dinger of a wedding, but as wer've both been married before, we could'ent justify wasting the £3000.00 savings on a single day, so we opted for keeping it simple, registry office, 2 mates as witnesses SORTED, meal and a drink down the pub afterwards, she even said I could go shooting tonight, told you she's a good lass, and if the freezer was'ent filled to the brim with rabbits, I probably would have as for her putting up with the ferts, we complement e

Im getting married this afternoon, and as no one to look after 25 plus ferts/chickens/duck/rabbit and dogs, means we aint having a honeymoon, although she did say I could go shooting tonight

as good as it is, I would have kept it in quarentine for a few weeks, you never know it could be carrying something, (ferret related )

easy way to check road kill or anything else, apart from the smell, is the blood, the longer its beed there, the blacker/thicker the blood goes, so if its still red/thin then its fresh

before blaming it on the straw, could it be RED MITE, although mostly linked with birds, Ive had these is the court, they live in cracks in the woodwork, so changing bedding wont mean getting rid, they come out and night to feed on the host, little red dots is what they look like, squashed with the thumb, they just leave a little red dot

buy yourself a petrol scrub trimmer, the type with the blade rather than nylon cord, if you start cutting back now, as its an allotment Im sure your be able to burn off the cut bush, your look better to whoever has given you permission, as not only will you deal with there rabbit problem, but you'll be tidying up their allotments, it makes it look good, and proffessional, and you may get further permissions (adjoining fields) if people seeing you taking a professional route with this, rather than ferreting it as is, getting pee'd off with the branbles, and maybe not returning plenty of us, p

If you using cheapo cat biscuits the ferrets not getting any animal based protein , as it contains vegetable protein (soya) so if thats the ferrets staple diet then no its not getting all it needs, its cat food not ferret food lmao what about all the fresh rabbit venicen fish n stuff there getting and who said that all cat food is cheep.......not me anyway so if the cat biscuit you buy is not cheap, still the question would be, why not use ferret dry, even as a supplement to, rabbit, fish and VENISON, surely ferret dry thats been made for ferrets, is better than cat dry thats been

dog food cans, from what I can make off it, once the top and bottom are removed from one can, you need to un roll the top bit of can, the bit that makes the lip, or the bit you have cut off, depending what can opener you use, so it can be pushed into the 2nd can, I have no idea on the size of can used, but it sounds so silly, it will probably work

read whats written above

not so much as whats wrong with people on here, but whats wrong with you, I could understand if dry ferret food was not made, but it is, by many suppliers, so the only reason I can see of feeding cat instead of ferret biscuit, is price cant say anymore, Ive got to get some fish food for my budgie
