  1. I would have been quite happy to have been "stretched off", my "migraine" made me feel like my head was going to explode, and on the trip back, made me "deaf" because I couldent hear what you were waffling on about, can remember you asking how many we had caught, and I replied "4 o'clock" roll on the winterey weather, make it easier to push those poles in
  2. how overgrown? would a bushcutter (strimmer) not deal with it? Im sure a few of us would offer to help cut back, for a days ratting with the terriers
  3. after a days ferreting with magwitch and ferret216, jack kindly gave me a couple of drop box top's he'd picked up have the perfect place for them on one of my permissions, once I've made the bottoms of course
  4. the stoat made it through the net, followed by another that bolt from a hole next to where pat was kneeling, over his shoulder and away, with "willow" close on it, was a good day pat, apart from my headache which made me a bit zombiefied by the end of the day  but lovely weather and good company made it a good day,
  5. yes mate, me albino's and sandies,
  6. her being tempremental is all down to how often she's been handled, prob not a lot if she's like that, Id say leave her and just get the kitts, they will have the instinct to go down holes, just handle them much as possible
  7. a live catch trapped animal is going to do whatever it can, to free itself from whatever its trapped in, no matter what size/gauge mesh, your picture proves why its the law to check traps regularly every 24hrs,
  8. In which case, here's one by magwitch from last season, he used to hang them higher back then
  9. dont take that many pictures of trapped stuff, but...
  10. you do realise that turning it up, puts you on a charge, if you dont hold an FAC, and even if you do, unless the s410 is on it, your still commiting a crime
  11. so good to see some nice pictures and a good write up of your days events
  12. are we getting mixed up here people, the top of page post relates to FERRETS, yet above quote is feeding dogs, which then josiesmom is thinking the poster is feeding veg and garlic to ferrets OH dear! I surely wouldn't want to be in the same vehicle with your dogs! can't even imagine the smell they must make! Dogs might be able to handle garlic and onions- but vegetables aren't good selections for ferrets and garlic can cause anemia. I have to agree that a natural diet of whole prey is best for the ferrets and if you can't do that raw meaty bones - don't have to be minced
  13. get a chastity belt for her , but option 2 sounds better, failing that option 1
  14. when there, either shooting or ferreting, magwitch is constantly pinching/eating apples, I think it stem's from his younger days of "scrumping"
  15. well, probably wherever your buying the smaller bags from, they will be able to order a bigger bag (20kg) although you may have to pay up front for it, I'd look around and horse/stable suppliers, thats where I get mine from
  16. send richie a pm, he had some for sale a while back
  17. looks like you had a good day pat, has Inan left the flat cap brigade, willow looks good at the job
  18. dry can be kept down 24/7 as already stated, although I tend to use this more in the summer, less in the winter, fresh rabbit I only feed in the evening after dark, as no flies, if you find rabbit left in corners in the morning, reduce the amount given
  19. so get the hobs to buy some protection
  20. good point kay, think alot of people presumed the tablets were "ferret" friendly
  21. it stops me getting nasty fibreglass splinters in my pinkies
