  1. better to get him the snip, I understand that your jill jabs are cheap, but its not good on their health, keep getting them jabbed, far better to keep them with a snipped hob
  2. if we dont put him in his cage, our one pisses on everything

    cleaning.

or the other option is, take some disposable gloves with you, as we use them in work, Ive always got a box of them spare, gut 30 or so rabbits, then put them in the hole thats been dug for the guts, saves carrying any soaps or water in the jeep, and saves you driving home with stinking blood stained hands
  4. so the rifle shot did'nt kill the rabbit outright, was that down to the rifle, or poor aiming

us english must be right thick bar stewards, I'd never have thought of washing my hands with soap powder
  6. are you taking the rifle out for target shooting or quarry shooting? if quarry shooting, are you then coming home with 30 plus kills? if you are, then, keep this rifle if your not then practise your fieldcraft/stalking etc as 40 shots should be plenty dont try fixing something that aint broken, and a bad workman always blames his tools
  7. its more of an american phrase for dry food, we just call it, dry food

are you asking the same question on every section for a reason
  10. I too left it where is when I first got the mk3, its eassiest to use that way, but why have it there and not use it, once I started using it, the usability of the mk3, went upto 100% in my book,
  11. its good to see yet another newbie that has no respect for the law, or am I reading this wrong, are you saying any bird do you know what your allowed to shoot, and reasons for shooting and its always a head shot,
  12. your letting them run around for 45 minutes, but are you interacting with them stick a couple of plastic bags on the floor, they go crazy, but get down there with them, handle them, slide them across the floor, tease them, chase them, get them used to fingers etc, a court is no different to a front room floor, space is good, but handling is better, far better to handle them lots and keep in a 4ft hutch, than let them have a massive court, but think that theres no need to handle as they have space now our daughter has a pet ferret that lives in a very large cage in the front room, its sil
  13. you cant put the batteries in the wrong way around in a mk3 collar, well you could but it wont close together, they fit one way only... going back to the pin point control on the back, its more than just a volume control first off though, get some electrical tape and stick it over the speaker holes, trust me, if you dont reduce the whinning bleps coming from it, you'll feel like captain kirk with a fazer gun whilst in search mode, your getting the bleeps, turn the pinpoint control knob, so the bleeps on just disappear, now take a step forward, left, right, back, you'll only hear blee
  14. I have 3 hobs that have been together all summer, as long as the cage/preferably a court is big enough for them to keep out of each others way if they need to,
  15. no, simply cut them with nail clippers, its a 2 minute job and wont stress the ferret out, a blob of ferret malt paste on the worktop, will keep them happy while you do the biz

    Oh my god

    give him a "0" skinhead
  17. its got to be SACS, it covers you for everything, barring horses
  18. correctly held ferrets, even biters, theres no need to wear gloves, are these the same ferrets your offering free in our for sale section, or do you have more that you need rid of in 3 days
  19. if you cant wait to get shot of them, why pick them up in the first place your first post reads like you'rve done a really good deed, but by the next post, your talking of dumping them again, unless someone will take them my only advice would be, phone the RSPCA or simular organization and get them rehomed, wild or not, as your last post dont really make a lot of sense
  20. well to put your mind at rest, no, not nicked, our group of friends tend to give each other stuff for free, maybe the "whistling" emoticon was the wrong one to use,
  21. had wondered on that richie, or I might find rabbit soup after it rains, luckerly have a fair bit of galvenised mesh, just need to sort out a deal with the farmer, as he's italian, they prefer live caught rabbits, as they prepare them differentally for cooking than us, so he'll like this trap, going to have to tell him he can have catches mon/fri, and weekend stuff is mine
  22. I'll move the post for you mate, but check out the correct section to post in, in future
