  1. err, a butler sink its about 6" deep, but if plumbed in without a plug, then the depth of water can be whatever you deciede upto the 6"
  2. nice looking fert, snap, Ive got a sandie hob called nipper, who's now turned into a big pussycat
  3. surely mate, seeing green puss in the eye area, tells you everything aint right, instead of waiting for replies, get down the vets for eye drops, not the stuff sold it pet shops
  4. see, thats what I class as sable, some call it sandie, Im prob wrong
  5. not great quaility Im affraid as I used the digital camera and had to piece it all together, plus held the camera longways, so first bit is watching on the side, could'ent figure out how to turn it around, anyway, it gives you an idea of how its set up, plus right at the end, I noticed a bloody big tick on busters neck, which was swiftly removed
  6. do a search on silvers, you'll get loads of info on pro's and con's, my advice has always been DONT, but this year, I had an un-planned mating of silver to silver, my first reaction was to knock them on the head, but Im a softie with ferts and could'ent, out of the twelve kitts, i have one very tiny runt, that had to be brought into the house for 3 days tlc, but she's still going strong at nearly 4 months old, and holds her own against bigger siblings, although a hob from the same litter, and as small as her, was on deaths door for a while, got it too the vets and payed £50 ish for injectio
  7. glad you said that kay thought it would interest a few, but now you say it, your right,
  8. a location would be nice, and in line with the rules,
  9. simply whatever you build, make it with a concrete base, have it sloping to one end, and fit a drain at that end, mine is just the plastic gulley, cemented over a "drain away" a large hole dug before cementing, filled with pea shingle, the outside court then gets a blast with the hose each day, after picking up the $hite of course, the excess water simply goes down the drain, and soaks into the dirt below
  10. maybe we could do with a pinned section of pictures, colours and there respective names, as I never class sable as polecat, but a totally different colour, so it could easily get confussing through different regions/countries they would need to be taken with as much of the ferret on show as possible, no hands in the way etc anyone care to start it, and Ill pin it
  11. but thats just it butch, did it come with instructions for aftercare, as stated earlier, my shop bought knife is still as shiney as the day I bought it, only ever run it under a tap to get the blood off, If this made to order knife needed special aftercare, any buisness out there would be expected to issue a leaflet describing this, rather than expecting a buyer to "know how to care for a knife" its common sense in buisness to cover your back on every angle. if I sold a ferret to joe bloggs without a word of housing/feeding, and it died because he feed it rabbit mix rather than rabbit, who
  12. those ferrets must of been built like tanks, to carry that down
  13. if your using a digital camera, as already suggested, use the lowest picture quaility, this is ideal for computers, and will allow you to post straight up, the next option is becoming a donator, as this gives you more picture posting ability
  14. I know nothing about making knives fish, but do the blades differ from shop bought ones?. I have one that I use for gutting, simple lock knife, gets covered in blood and fur, may get a quick wash under the tap once home, but not dried off, looks as good as the day I bought it, never shows rust spots, and dont get wiped over with an oily rag so are they finished differently
  15. well thats just a milk supplement, which may give them the shits, or put more weight on them,
  16. im only 21, and agreed obviously the mk 3 is more up to date and a better piece of kit, the trouble is ti breaks i only know a few lads with it, after forking out for it for terrierwork all the lads have all had broken mk 3s and now moved onto bellman and flint (which is the best piece of kit in this range but cant get it for ferrets pitty) so maybe if they made it more hardy then i would have 1 for my ferrets. your mates must be very heavy handed, if all of theirs broke, what are they doing to them?, hiting with a shovel
  17. ferreting, and then letting them go
  18. just keep a close eye on him, I've got an albino hob kitt here, the first albino grandson of "buster big bollocks" and he's already got a set of nutts on him to make his grandad pround, although he may not know what they are for,
  19. Id say that was rather a lot, but everyone has different views, I would say a rabbit per 9 adults, but kitts, Id halve the rabbit, as your also doing a lb of mince,
  20. do I need to go specsavers again, that looks like a poley to me
  21. I see these a lot, as I skin and chop into chunks, 2 rabbits per day, divided between hutches and court, tend to chuck the whole back half away if I see any like this
  22. how many kitts?, and how much are you feeding?
