    Help!!!

so why did you not just contact a mod or admin as the programe told you, would have been sorted straight away rather than weeks
  3. also, dont go straight in with "can I snare here" and also look at other venues other than farmers, I recieved a request to ferret a football clubs grounds as it was overun with rabbits, walking around the place I could see ferreting was going to be hard, as most of the warrens were on the wrong side of the boundary fence, but I accepted the permission, spent a day with a couple of the lads of here, catching only 4 rabbits, on chatting with the guy at the end of the day, and on him seeing our poor results, he quickly agreed to give me full permission to dispose of the rabbits in any humane way
  4. Id recomend the SACS, youll find a link to it on the forum, that would give you public liabilty for ANY hunting activities, expect using horses, as long as its un paid
  5. I doubt if your going to get very many replies to your question, you'vre already pointed out how hard it is to get permission, and your asking others as a new member with 11 posts under your belt, to share permissions you may get more response once you have been a member a while, posted a few topics, answered questions in posts, even posting a few of your own pictures help, etc also filling in your profile page with all information, goes a long way on here, otherwise you could just be another billy bullshitter
  6. the chinky rabbits have slanted eyes too
  7. no, he's right actually, have a mate who runs a butchers, the rabbits are imported from there, as they are cheaper than english ones
  8. just pm woodga, buy 100 of his snares, plus his dvd, shows you all you need to know/do
  9. your better off, finding a warren that you can net one side off, take someone with you to look after the netted side, whilst you stand looking out and away over the un-netted side, saves you waving the gun in all directions like a man possessed
  10. unless someone from here can gurantee you an answer, save wasting money on a collar that may not work, maybe a member closest to you with a mk3, could let you test it on theirs
  11. the company I work for sent me to the college/uni for a weeks study and exam at the end, I'd only been working in pest control around 6 months and was cacking it, as everyone said it was to soon, the instructor put my mind at rest on my arrival, and although the insect bit bored me to death, I passed, was well happy as it meant a £3000 pay rise

    End pins

you can either buy ready made end pins, which I did, but while waiting for them in the post, made my own using old cheap fishing rod rests and a bit of garden hose, the actually work very well
  13. was a good half day's ferreting, in excellent company, rabbits totalled 15 at the final count, with some really good action at the end of the session, with pat's ted accound for a good 6 or so, that were in the adjoining field, one of my young'uns "boston" an albino hob, bolted a medium sized rabbit, so I think he's getting the idea of it, although the owner had been round with the tractor/grass cutter and done a 3ft strip around the warrens, it was still overgrown in places, which means you cant relax as much, Im also on the look out for a mk1 knocker box, to use in conjunction with the mk3,
  14. whats the point of carrying a shovel, if your not using a ferret finder, how would you know where to dig but being frightened of a collar snagging on an underground root, is a poor excuse for not using a ferret finder, as if this were to happen, you'd locate it and dig to it, would you not
  15. too right I am, only because they have all agreed to help me move the ton of crap in the back garden, oh and lay the patio
  16. If the credit slump continues you will be eating them yourself stubby. With a mixi rabbit for main course @scot that what ferts are for, rabbit stew, plus the chickens at bottom of garden
  17. Id say, you'vre got it far too easy here, just because you got a warning at work, means your like it everywhere very playgroundish in my eyes, I wont tread on jaspers toes, as this aint my section, but where asked to be mods, to try keeping things in order, seems like you think that you should get special treatment, posts on the ferreting section, would simply be deleated
  18. just re reading your replies, am I right in thinking this is still made from ply, sprayed with plasticote spray?, rather than being an all plastic construction as the topic title suggests
  19. I personnally would'ent, have always looked on maggie's as being on the same level as a feral pidgeon, dirty birds, eat anything/crap etc, but Im sure a lot do feed them and have no problems, each to there own
  20. send me a free one and I'll test it out looks good to me
