  1. @para it was an unplanned litter, bloody chav's
  2. cat biscuit would be no different from ferret biscuit in as much as swelling up when wet, more than likely not enough water given and dying of thirst, twice as much water needs to be given if feeding dry
  3. did they have the shits from being fed cat food all the time, rather than fresh rabbit, or even dry ferret biscuit were they given bowl of milk too?
  4. no mate, never saw the post as I work nights, hence reading it now at 05.23am, and just for the record, those "shit" snares of mine, that you'vre seen are all bought from woodga did try to send you a private message, but seems you'vre blocked them

    Badgers

pissing around the garden, keeps the foxes away in our garden
  7. aint it grand, if a mod had done that, all hell would be breaking out right now, and the lynch mobs would want our blood, site admin say it, and not a word IANB
  8. no mate, its actually built from an old anderson shelter, when we moved here and I spotted it at the bottom of the garden, straight away I knew it would make a fine ferret court with some adjustment, our next door neighbour had dismantled theirs years ago, but was using the panels to hold back soil in a flower bed, they finally decieded to get shot of it all, so I nabbed 2 pieces to build that hutch with, cranky idea about using old stuff like "the salvager"
  9. dont bite my head off, but next time type "one" instead of 1, as its classed as text talk and will get deleated
  10. I often wonder if people are getting polecat colour and polecat mixed up with each other, the ferret is domesticated, and we have all sorts of colours, one of them being "polecat" it comes in many forms, ie dark, light, I even have some to what I would call polecat silvers, but its still a ferret Im not trying to knock what your saying fergie, but the guy that she came from, was he sure of a difference, surely 100% pure polecat, would make it "wild" polecat marked ferrets do differ from other ferrets, so some keepers could well belive they have a 50/50 or 100% polecat, when really, its ju
  11. lucky sods on the new permission, good story too
  12. he's getting shagged by other hobs mate, as a jill not in season wont let them near them, if it gets over sore/red, a bit of sudacream for babies backside can be used on it, but it wont last long, as days get shorter they loose the urge
  13. Thats not on 2 foot legs stubby... if you took the time to read the post properly, you'd see I said after building (when pic was took) it was a bugga to clean, and that NOW its raised on legs it aint got a pen around it, thats just gal mesh that we use to section off parts of the garden, as the dogs arnt allowed at that end, cos the ferts and chickens
  14. good luck to you, but it sounds like your new to ferret keeping by your question, it would have been far better to get some of this years kitts, which only nip if that, rather than take on someone's glove needing ferts
  15. leeview, why do you think my capitol letter outburst was aimed at you this only show's how people read stuff wrong and jump the gun, it was aimed at ALL!! people that complain, as you have stated you dont, then it does not concern you, and you had no need to reply with the quote, as for stuff thats happened/did happen/will happen on other forum's, lets leave that there shall we,
  16. apart from an interesting read tomo, and good pics, Im going to nick your idea of ya, quickset net on back of door, why did'nt I think of that, have a vitara with about as much space as your 410
  17. If you do your homework, you'll find that all colour genetics were based on that monks findings, Ive said it before in threads/topics, and I'll say it again, in big letters so it may sink in ALL THOSE MEMBERS MOANING ABOUT NON HUNTING RELATED POSTS, ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM OF THE POST/S IN QUESTION STAYING ON THE FIRST PAGE OF WHATEVER SECTION ITS POSTED ON, IF YOU CLICK ON A TOPIC THAT IS NOT HUNTING RELATED, AND LEAVE A SARCASTIC COMMENT, YOUR KEEPING IT AT THE TOP OF THE FIRST PAGE, IF IT WAS IGNORED, WITHIN HOURS IT WOULD BE ON THE 2ND PAGE, NOT IN YOUR FACE,
  18. are you leaving them in the collar all the time? you can get very good silver oxide batteries from e bay, think I payed around £12 for 50, this is the 2nd season Ive had them, and still half left
  19. Im sitting on the middle of the fence here, as I like both, to a degree, I got rid of my mk1 and got a mk3 plus 4 collars, but if a good mk1 box came along, I'd get that too, as they are good if working properly in picking up a mk3 collar,
  20. I can understand members getting fed up when they see post after post about "mitzy" playing happily, but a post like this that wants shot of "pet owners" then seems to creep into "anti's" as well, lets think about it here, would an anti show themselves like that, start posting stuff that would attract attention to themselves and get them a ban, or would they keep quite, maybe pretend to be a hunter so they fit in, it would be very easy to do such a thing, the same as this site having lots of armchair hunters, where do we draw the line shall we have a seperate set of rules, maybe you would

  24. years ago I used to miss a day, but then I knew they had bits hidden as ferrets do, nowdays as nothing is left hidden in corners, they either eat it or I remove it, I tend not to miss a days feeding, but rather miss a day feeding fresh meat, and just give them dry

    problem.

using it as a traditional long net, you hold a pin in one hand, stretch your other arm out as you pull the longnet, thus pulling the top and bottom line together, place the point of the pin through the net, a couple of holes down from where you have grabbed it, keep doing this the full length, loading the net onto the pin, lifting the last pin, place it alongside the loaded pin, piece of inner tube as an elastic band, bind the two pin ends together, wrapping and running line around the top of net, sling over shoulder and carry home, poles can be put in a carry sack, made from the leg of an old
