  1. Theaving twats, I bought a trail camera I havnt had any knicked yet, but if I trap anywhere I think is dodgy I put it up, never had any problems yet though,
  2. I would say the stop needs to be set at the distance a normal deer stops set at, otherwise the fox will just back out of it ?
  3. If your not too far away Darren your welcome to have a look out and try mine, if your thinking about buying one.. Top bloke mate that's a very kind offer, I might give you a pm nearer the time, it's always good to see things before you commit, again thanks for the offer,
  4. When you read about them they talk about 450 yds that's spot on,the first night vision I saw was a Russian thing back in 1990 and it was on a 222, to be frank it was crap, and that always made me wary of them, I am going to have to start and put some money on one side,
  5. I have just been searching them they look good, are they better than the pulsar NS stuff,??
  6. Me neither Neil, I know mines a cross but he's sharp upstairs, I would agree with no fear, but as for livestock he is very good with sheep and cattle, but he's around them almost everyday,he's not like a lot of other dogs and won't avoid cattle, as in go wide of them, he will carry on seemingly unfazed by them, and if I am honest they don't seem to react too much to him, where as they will crowd my lab and the lab gets nervous,
  7. What kind of money are they, one would be perfect for me as I do a lot of my foxing alone on foot, and by the time you have humped, battery and lamp, a NV unit it has to make sense, I am going to get a roof mounted lamp for the car soon, but the ground up here, gets ridiculous with water and it hinders the whole job, it can be a ball ache at times,
  8. Good to see some one else enjoying there hornet,I cant believe I didn't get one years ago I love mine now ,hardly ever pick the 223 up it just drops fox on the spot , can I ask Ian, as I am thick when it comes to this night vision game, does it make your rifle unwieldy, I keep looking at this digital stuff and I know I will end up buying one, at some point, and no doubt I will buy the wrong one,
  9. That's all I bought him for, my backs not good and needed a dog to get to the nets, and it progressed from there, the dog loves his job,
  10. I suspect my dog is second cross although not entirely sure, I believe he was bred out wild rovers way, thomas 87 mentioned temperament all I can say it is spot on,as good as anything I have owned, brilliant with kids a real hit with the women,a good all round companion, wild rovers description of them,is spot on, I would say as mine gets older he is becoming more and more versatile, where as his prey drive before got in the way,and he made stupid mistakes, but testament to the dog he has learned from them, his speed is decent more than enough for rabbits, more so as he does use his head when ru
  11. Try a bore hole pump, loads of farmers have bore holes and they supply a good volume of water, as far as I am aware they are not that expensive,
  12. I have a cattle dog x and really like it, a real handy little dog Strong build as said before takes a knock well, very intense little dog when working, not the fastest dog but will work all night, and takes rabbits well,it's redhot on rats it will flush pheasants any where,I am no expert on lurchers, my experience is with labs and spaniels, but I will have another, the dogs are a good addition to my kennel, great little dog, http://i1114.photobucket.com/albums/k534/Darrenj8/AC6656C0-9D31-4365-967D-EF04237C211C-1156-00000157818C2A9C.jpg He likes duck shooting too http://i1114.photob
  13. Has anyone seen that big truffle that's been found just sold for £40,000 in new york, I was thinking with the increase in wild boar,in the country, the humble British truffle would be on the increase, has anyone found one recently, you never seem to hear of them much in this country, and they are here,
  14. what models that mate, and what company supplies them??
  15. It's a shame we have to rely on old Mother Nature to put our shit right though, It makes me think of the miners who took a suicide mission, to dig under the place to secure the core with concrete, top blokes
  16. Love that, what a decent little bolt hole, I often wonder if you could still buy them old timber railway wagons, one of them could make a good little spot to get a bit of piece and quiet,
  17. No that's a bit steep at the moment thanks for the offer though mate,
  18. I agree neil I am looking around and will do the job right, but its finding one with the right soft wear,I will be getting another car for the missis this next yr, so trying to find one that will cover most car's,its a total rip off by the garages protecting there own profits, there's lap tops on ebay but need to do my home work first,
  19. I will have a look for that cheers,
  20. I will get around the pre tensioners this week, but I am not happy with mitsubishi dealership, I want to sort it right and wanted some idea if there's a hand held scanner, reset, code reader, that would just read the airbag side of things, you can get one for the rest of the fault codes, I think for the next pickup I might go back to Toyota,
  21. Can I ask has anyone bought there own reset scanner/reader for a Mitsubishi l200, I only ask as my light has come back on I had the clock spring/air bag squib done last yr and reset, which I was assured I would have to have done by Mitsubishi them selves,[cost £300 in total which is scandalous in my opinion there was an mot in that,] as they are the only ones who can reset there software around air bag lights, anyway I have noticed a few reader/scanners for sale, which mention Mitsubishi, and wondered if anyone could guide me to the right one,??
  22. Don't forget to make sure the trigger has been sorted, / or hasn't been affected by the trigger recall, the guns them selves are spot on other wise,
  23. I like the sound of that I love port ,
  24. The MoD liaise with media/propaganda experts to release stuff like this. It's all part of the greater strategic picture. Put the fear of god into would be jihadists and give the British public a morale boost. Since the embassy the SAS have been used as a psychological tool as much as a combat one. The SBS on the other hand are played down and allowed lesser media attention. We all knew they were out there hunting... its just now that the government have decided the right time to slip a few details. I know there's a bigger picture to it all as regards propaganda, and its one I know now
