  1. . I dont use them myself but understand that Phostoxin/Talunex has its place but can not be used close to any occupied building, so narrows down its use. Certainly if the burrows are away from buildings and you have the ticket to use it, it could help
  2. Agree vista very good just had 6 very large lawn signs made.
  3. I dont shy away from farm work, but what I do is to charge per visit to set 25 traps, typically £60-£100 or double up as required. Price has to reflect distance and time. So for me I am guaranteed a sensible income and the farmers now how much the job will cost. I try and get 2 or 3 farms close to each other and do at the same time I started this way for farms after a couple of farmers said "how do I know that you dont just come alng with a bag of moles, and charge me"? Fair point! they do not know me yet
  4. Bryn, Can you get the farmer to chain harrow any of the fields before you start? Makes it all much easier seeing where mr and mrs mole is currently working.
  5. Bryn, your very right, if this was a main income, then would not enjoy it the way I do. Because it is for me part time, I can enjoy what I do much more
  6. This week purchased 20 talpa traps from Magnum Traps, £5:58 inc vat each. Seem quite good have caught moles over last 2 days with them

  9. Cant help with the snaring questions, but what diameter are the "rat burrows " you have found in the ground?? and are there well formed runs from these "rat burrows"
  10. Is that dibber of yours pointed,at the end ? you can still use them, like that,...but i prefer a "bullet" ,on the end,....lol Yes the probe is pointed, has always worked for me, know nothing different, but may buy a "bullet" probe just in case it is actually better
  11. This is all I need for Mole Trapping Had this probe about 20 years now
  12. Sorry to hear about john lill, I went on a mole course with john a few years ago at his house in Lincolnshire, great fun
  13. Nicepix, you mention a monthly fee for traps staying in runs. if a mole pops along from elsewhere, is that another charge? or is that covered within the montly fee? Could be something I offer domestic customers Thanks
