After a bit if messing we got our first " proper" day out today, we had planned to go on a new bit in Cornwall but with the awful weather predicted we called of off and went local.. Of course there wasn't a drop of rain.. We were to meet at 8 up the farm, I got there early to give the dogs a bit of a blast first... There were a few about and Bella was marking along a hedge row that can wait a month or 2 ( some frosts required first)... Then Mick rang me, disaster had struck he'd cleared the memory from his sat nav and couldn't remember how to get to the farm, he'd only been coming in this one

I read this mate last night and tbh didn't know how to reply, i turned the i pad off and I laid there thinking for a bit... must be a nightmare in your job all that sheet metal laying about .. We've just stripped a big one in Exeter, had to take a load of steel out too... I got a call on Friday afternoon from my mate the scaffolder ( who put the rugby prizes up) saying 2 gypsies had jumped out of a scrap van hi viz and hard hat on, then walked straight onto site walked all round it looking at the scrap... He went straight over and cleared all of his tubes ad fittings... They're bold as brass though..

When lorry drivers take it upon theirselves to control the traffic.. Ie there's a merge in the traffic in a miles time fir tiad works or something but 2 lorrys decide to drive side by side on the dual carriage way at 40 mph to stop anyone passing.. Skip lorry drivers, 9 out if 10 are ignorant as f**k, and can barely talk, it doesn't matter where you ask then to out a skip they'll chuck it where the f**k they please.. Site portable toilets, the stink is enough to kill you from 20 paces... Working in Endfield, you need to bolt your tools down, it cost me more in nicked tools and bro

Don't know anything about the man, but it's a real shame when people feel they have no other option but to take their own life.. I feel very sorry for his family and friends.. RIP

Haha, I saw Pepe about 2 years back ( at a funeral for another good angler and good mate of mine), pepe ran a hair dressers for years in Exeter.. Funny bloke and a bloody good angler Steve Jackson gave me some hand made wagglers nearly 20 years ago, I've still got a couple, I won't use them now though,

I worked for him mate All ok mate, safe and sound back in the shed lol.. I bought a cheap whip in the shop this morning. Set a few top 3 sets up and a couple of rods, I didn't take the map out if the bag lol.. I showed Geoff the old proto type Titan, he gave it to me nearly 20 years ago lol.. Cheers mate,All the kids loved it, Jake brought his own rod and reel, about 15lb line but Insisted on using it lol... My brother in law came up with his lad, and he's firmly hooked, it was nice to see them all enjoy it tbh.. How did the ferreting go? I've got to drag my ass out of bed at the crack of dawn again tomorrow... Lol Nice easy day mate to ease us back into it, nice sunshine an even nicer sheep pasture with no cover, dogs worked well, young ferrets done us proud an me lad is getting the hang of the long net so all in all a decent day an 17 bunny for the dog food freezer to boot,
