The same as me Astral, I would not trade my life in Devon to live in London... But that does not mean I don't love going there, it's a different world and although I've been there loads of times I still get exited around the place... And the kids faces at the top of the eye with London sprawled below was worth the trip alone... As for the " London haters" lol.. It's never gonna be for everyone, but then what is? I'd say I'm fortunate to live amongst some of the nicest scenery in England but nowheres like London...

Good first day and the kids are shattered, could've done with the scooter Stig lol.. We done the eye and an open bus tour which also gives us a 2 day pass for river cruises and bus trips so we're gonna jump on the cruise to Greenwhich on Saturday morning ( depending on my head as I'm out for a couple with my cousins Friday night lol).. Maybe London's no everyone's cup of tea but for iconic architecture and history there is nowhere that can beat it in this country or many others IMO.. The kids were made up to see Big Ben, Buckingham palace, Trafalgar Square..... Oh and Hamleys ( that hurt

Cheers lads, well I'm up my uncles in Molsey and we're going to commute in each day, it is going to be the touristy things for the kids, I want them to see all the sites.. But this trip is for the kids, it will Big Ben, the Tower of London, the dungeons and anything else touristy... We done the duck tour a couple of years back with my eldest but after it setting alight on the Thames the other day we might give it a miss lol.. Any sugg

Best First Lurcher For A Complete Novice
NEWKID replied to FatBoyFerrets's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Whatever you choose, you will make the dog mate... Put lots of time in and you'll reap the rewards, Some good posts on here on types of xs etc, owning a 3/4 whip x 1/4 bed I can vouch that they are decent enough rabbit dogs, the first x is a bit head strong for me.. Had collie xs and will again, great allround moochers IMO... Watched a few bull xs over the last few seasons, and one in paticular is very impressive, but a lot of dog for a beginner IMO.. Just watching a heavily saluki blooded dog grow over the last 2 seasons and he's coming on well... Collie x would be my choice, or a smal -
Don't Know Why People Reccomend Beddyxwhippet For 1St Lurcher
NEWKID replied to wharrier's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
I've got a 3/4 whip 1/4 bed and she's a lot easier than my brothers first x... But she has faults, too nervy especially around dogs she doesn't know, she ain't a bad rabbitter when fit, no world beater... The first x is really head strong.. Mine is good with the ferrets, very patient and picks up bolters nicely.. Like any dogs they've got there faults, and personally I think they're rabbit dogs... If pre ban you were after other quarry they wouldn't be your dog of choice... Only my opinion and I'm sure people will be quick to tell me they are fox and deer dogs... -
My shed (it's not quite a man cave lol) is full of 6" screws in the walls, carrying the waders, long nets, fishing bags, coats, I hang the purse nets on them to dry them out.... oh and a strimmer, body boards, saws, hammers etc...,, screws or nails in the walls is a must
