    A season to bed in. Hes pish and lacks quality, pace and cant pass a baw. Scores no goals. He should be banging in 12-15 goals a season. He is ok player for mid table team (everton). Not good enough for champions league footall He's at the right club then... Everton 4th = champions league UTD mid table lol

    That's the point I'm making mate, Carrick is a nice tidy midfielder, nothing more nothing less, you need a forceful attack minded player beside him, Carrick quietly does a lot of the shit work whilst retaining the ball, but he won't set the world a light ( why do you think Scholes wasn't allowed to retire lol)...

    Perhaps mate, but.. His basic passing is wayward more often than not, I'm talking about 50-60 yard balls, the simple things 5-10 yards.... If you've played a little bit at any standard you'll know if your struggling a bit you go back to basics, keep the passing short, and start to build your confidence with each pass... Like you say time will tell, but he's looking exposed this season, see what signings are made in the summer... Perhaps mate, but..     Yes we were up against it for the first half and a lot of the 2nd, but it was bang on tactically, bayern were shooting from distance, the whole team worked as one and got behind the ball, it's bloody hard work to keep that amount if discipline... You can't come out and play freely against a better team at keeping the ball,you'll get dicked... Moyes got it bang on last night, keep shape and hit them on the break, for all of bayerns possession UTD could easily of won it.... Fair play to the manager and players...     I was sat a couple if rows back when UTD drew 4-4 with Everton a couple of seasons back, and Fellaini was unplayable at times, he was cheating the ball down and people were bouncing off him, everything he done looked good, but he's up a level now ( maybe not this season lol)... And he looks out of place, for all who knock Carrick look how tidy he is with the ball, his short ànd long passing is tidy and accurate, he breaks play up and then gives it..     Tactically the best I've seen them in ages, you'll never outplay bayern, but they stuck to it and got a result ( of sorts)... Fellaini is awful, he just can't pass a ball, he was evertons focal point but at UTD he's being found out I'm afraid.. You never know now, I'd rather the bayern centre half could play the return leg mind, he was shite... Sweinstiger on the other hand they'll miss..

    My brother was 18 when he had his daughter as was his then girlrfiend.... who he's now married to, they've been together since they were 14..... his daughters 16 next week, it seems mad, from when he told me through tears in his bedroom 16 odd years ago that he was going to be a dad....     I hope your right lads, But this season the big teams have found us wanting, just don't think our midfield will cope... But there's always a chance if Rooney and Mata can fire they'll cause problems. Read an interesting bit the other day, where RVP not playing could be a blessing, Rooney is back as the main striker and Mata pulling the strings, don't know myself... But they've definitely clicked in the last couple of games

    Fishing the canal we'd regularly here cuckoos in the cast reed beds which make up the Exe estuary, not heard them in a while, I think a few early morning walks down that way are required in the next month or 2 Saw loads of lapwings this year, and curlews around the estuary Also more woodcock this year than I've seen in a long time, dozens whilst lamping..... Would the ugh winds gave a bearing on that?

    Some cracking size perch there lads, Pk that's a beast... I've caught a few better ones to around 3lb over the years, but purely by luck.. A by catch I suppose.... The better ones I've caught have been river fish, and I did watch a bloke land a real decent one on the town stretch near me, I would've said that one was plus 3lb..

    Not targeted them for year Hot Meat, Been reading a lot in the angling press recently about fishing for big perch, I fancy a crack at them, I'm used to lugging a load of match gear down the canal/river might go with a little less gear worms and a few spinners and see how it goes. Have you had many decent ones mate?

    I started off fishing for perch on the local canal, pretty much sea gear and worms, eventually it progressed to bream, tench etc..... But I still have a soft spot for perch, I heard the odd decent one was coming out of a local still water, it's mainly fished for carp, only a small place but holds some decent roach too... I took the kids for a few hours and set up a waggler rod had a plumb around and found a deeper hole a out 7m out, also fed a line beside some rushes.. Fed caster and fished single maggot over the top ( had no worm), we caught a few roach to around 12oz, in the deeper spo
