Cheers lads, It is nice down here Tomo, bit of everything, keeps us amused any way... Ain't it always the way, I had to be away at 1-30 to get back for the kids, had the bass, a little codling and missed another bite all in the last 3/4 hour, why does it always start when you've got to leave lol

It's hard to say wilf, it's such a special case. Not many mangers stay at a club for 23 years. A lot of water under the bridge to forget. I could imagine the arsenal fans forgetting quick if wenger left and they got a successful man in but not fergie but who knows. That's the problem, he was a one off, I've got a feeling Rodgers could be of the same ilk, got the feeling he'll have a long stint at Liverpool. Finding a manager to suit the big clubs ( or any club really) is so hard now, in one breath you need to give them time in the next they need results because of the coin... And the impat

Not sure about Fergie picking Moyes to secure his legacy, that's a conspiracy theory I won't buy into... His record at UTD is untouchable... Wilf, your 100% right about the commercial aspect, when I was a kid Liverpool were the team, loads of my mates were Liverpool fans, in the last 20 years it's been UTD.. Because they've been winning, now the Chelsea and man city kids will be coming along.. It won't be lost on the corporate side of UTD the money they will lose if they spend years in the "wilderness" will cost the millions, 100's of millions probably... That's why Moyes hasn't got the

Wilf talking to a lad on here who's a UTD regular, watches the youth etc.. There are a couple of young kads coming through that they think are going to be exceptional players, hopefully the youngsters get a chance, it's been proved befôre that can work. Some severe coaching is require on the defenders, Smalling and rafael especially, both could be good enough but at times look like Sunday morning players, With vidic, evera and Ferdinand on their way out, it's got to be sorted quickly, Carrick, Fellaini, cleverly, Nani, not up to it... Fergie left a squad that needed players adding to it, everyone knew the defence was coming to an end, and he midfield was 1 dimensional ( you can't keep dragging Scholes out if retirement)... So what happened they signed Fellaini. Last minute , for more money than if they'd brought him a week earlier, everyone knew he was coming so what was that about Ffs.. Moyes will get a chance to put it right, but the squad is miles behind Chelsea and man city, liverpools first 11 are as good as anyone's, arsenal will always be hot and cold ( it's became a habit now)... I read an interview where Rodgers was saying he wants his whole team to be fluid, to be able to fill positions for each other and everyone to want the ball, he's getting there and the steps they've made from pump it up to Carroll, to now playing some great football is huge. What is Moyes philosophy? How does he want UTD to play? Lots of work to do, no idea if he's right..... Come next January will be judgement time IMO

It was a thankless task any way, Moyes needs backing to bring in a couple of midfielder and defenders, Then he has to compete, they won't dominate again, no one will because all the teams around are strong. It pains to say but Brendon Rodgers has proved himself to be a good manager at Liverpool, love the way there playing, not the greatest defence but a real attacking force, he went to Liverpool with hus ideas and stuc to them, I'm not sure if Moyes knows which way to turn at the minute, said it already sacking all the back room staff was a bad move. Tough year for Moyes, I've said before he's got to get te signings right in the summer for next year, at least to compete. Players are getting found out now the others have really strengthened, That toure is some player, very strong side city now, they dominate teams
