    Aye Was out looking for a new set of 10x42 roof prism glasses today. Had it narrowed down to the Opticron countryman and the Bushnell Excursion. I just happened to spot a Viking RSPB shop in Edinburgh and went in and tried a set od Viking MD 10x42. Superb is all I can say, They were slightly dearer than the other two but the bloke then told me they were on sale making the around 50 quid cheaper than the others. Anyone had any experience of these. When compared directly the were the best of the bunch for me so I will be buying a set tomorrow. Thoughts please blokes. Cheers

    Aye Seen my first mixy rabbit on one of my permissions today. Gutted, have not seen it for a while and I hope it does not come to much. It was just a young bugger but shot it and binned it oanyroad!. I hate mixy

    Wanker! I have come across this type before and even supplied a couple I know with two ferrets for pets (yes I know feckin lesson WELL learned), by the time I had rescued the one that was still alive, it had eaten it`s mate and was stuck by the claws to a tennis ball where it had been for a week!!!!. What a state! made me cry actually!! saved that ferret and it went on to be a nice little beast ,,but I have NEVER since given ferrets to anyone I am not 110% sure about as I could barely live with myself about that one.

    Aye For close range work, A 22lr with high velocity ammo (laser etc) will do the job ,but you must be certain of your shot and always hit a kill zone (your neighbours will be less pleased to find a wounded fox lying about) This will be a fair bit quieter than the 12 bore. The shotgun will also be up to it if you can call the buggers in close enough. Have to say though, I use a 243 for foxes and it has to be a pretty close range shot for me to take it with the 22lr. I`ve met a few who go on about 100yrd+ foxes with the 22lr,"head shots only mate ,,,easy,,don`t need anything bigger" , but

    Hi Good stuff getting it back. On another note Balerno have been funny in the past with giving feerets away before getting them back to there owner so you have to keep at them every other day and make sure thay know about you! ATB

    As above. But with the addition of a small cooker and coffe makin stuff ! Never underestimate the power of a cuppa And with the excetion of stop/gate nets. Never used them (lurcher) but now that the dogs I use are my eldests, I will be looking into getting some.

    My RFD is struggling with lots at the mo.Had to go to scone palace to get high velocity rimmies and took the oppertunity to get remington subs on sale as well cause you can struggle to find them at the best of times. Moved onto federal 243 as winchester superX are too hard to find at the mo.
