  1. for Some people they are the ultimate but for others no if they were the ultimate we would all own one an there be no need for Lurchers they'd be a thing of the past
  2. Same here black mag I’m not a fan of golf courses the ped markers sticking out the ground make me cringe for smashed up toes same as dogs going in to bunkers full tilt the freeways can be a good crack though
  3. I like to know how there bred I’m a bit picky to what I like An want but no better bred or better than the next mans dogs Na didn’t take Tyson mate didn’t know him then it was a combination of alun1960 an my cousin that sorted it an give him a bit of back round on me an the bitch An my intentions for breeding
  4. The dam is a line bred collie/greyhound x whippet/greyhound with a tiny bit of deerhound in there at the beginning of the line the line was started from a f1 Hancock bitch to a f1 deerhound greyhound in 1986 line bred whippet/greyhound was put in an heavy bred in to the line on both sides as the laws changed so did the breeding of the line went from work to racing the percentage of collie was reduced dramatically my old bitch was out of a racing bitch to a deer dog out of the same line that come back to use as a stud I wanted a collie greyhound at the time there was none available I didn’t fan
  5. Home bred = bred out of own bitch/stuff to keep a pup for my own needs not bought in out of stuff I don’t know the history of if the breeders were bull shitters or not to peddle there wears on
  6. That’s it joe no ones bothered by wild bills constant threats of violence no one can now take the guy seriously on here not even any of the dog stuff he talks about because they see all the threats of him wanting to give people a good hiding that don’t share the same opinion as his own they just think what a cock end! and don’t believe the dribble that comes out his mouth. Think the wild one needs to stop the big hard man impression No ones buying it!
  7. Earl grey is like drinking perfume smelling like it as well ??
  8. I’ll be running this bitch she’s 2yrs old now not a bull x she’s a collie bedlington x home bred last season I didn’t really get her going till towards the back end of the season due to a injury she picked up in the summer due my negligence being a dick letting her run about with other dogs on baked ground we payed the price for it but gained in other ways distance lead walking the season was 3 quarters done by the time she was ready it was handy in a sense as she was mentally ready an sensible by the time it come to party time she took to the ferreting crack Quickly on the sheep farm I take c
  9. Smart looking dog fella I’m not a bull x man but like this type ?? The thing I’ve always found strange is people are always asking for decent dogs that have done a bit or moan there’s no studs about that graft but when you offer decent stuff there go an used some peddling old c**ts dog that’s done feck all or a ring pony I’m surprised so far there’s not been more replies to this thread
  10. Yeah good friends with Vicky she’s a sound lady I’ve a lot of time for her
  11. Vickys litter were all spoken for before they hit the ground my pup I’m getting is from vickys litter ginger ??I’ve no intention of breeding any thing now till I need another that will probably be 3-5yrs time depending what goes off with the 2yr old An the pup if they prove worthy
  12. Smart fella I like the look of the rough un how’s he/she bred
  13. Most short coated running dogs feel cold An rain if stood about it’s strange because most people that rabbit up on the dales use whippets there’s some pretty shit weather up there I think there’s no right or wrong answer it’s personal preference my preference if lamping would be a lurcher with a drop of collie over a whippet just what I’ve seen an experienced with small running dogs like whippets is they tend to have limited distance vision due to size so it’s harder to bring them on to long slips because they can’t see far enough we’re as a dog with a bit more size as better view an vision pl
  14. Thought they were all cowards ??no good for nothing unless they were Mali xs then there the best cross since sliced bread ???
  15. Like any line breeding you can only go so far before nothing is being gained out of the breeding you come to a wall and problems start to manifest them selfs
  16. Your wrong fella you don’t add new blood to create a line you add new blood to put back in later down the line your probably put back in the third generation in it’ll be half related to what line you already have going then discontinued either the dog or bitch side of the line depending on witch one was the producer of sound workers or not but keep the gt gt grand sire or dam to put back in even further down the line or keep all 3 lines going. Line breeding Lurchers in my opinion is a waist of time there’s to many variables I’d much rather worker to worker bred but dabble in an out of close br
  17. I like the look of dc bitch strong work man type ??If you can find a genuinef1 working wheaton greyhound being put back to a good greyhound jump on it mate something I’ve learned in life timings never right for nothing in life but your make it workout well ??I’ll find it hard to stray from bedlington Lurchers now my beds firmly made with them I’ve been around a few different xs on our old team over time to be honest it’s only the bedlington xs that’s left a impression on me plus one little bull x bitch she wasn’t bred out of any thing special but was a real good un an left a impression on me.
  18. I’m sure I see on here not to long ago that most Wheatons carry bull blood any way. 1/4 of any base blood more than enough in most Lurchers fella I like the look of some of the genuine Wheaton xs but a lot of these Wheaton crosses I see looks just like a smooth bull crosses or like a rough bedlington Lurcher of some type that’s been sold to them as a Wheaton x
  19. People shouting mines not bothered it don’t fase her one bit. Sounds a good cross mate what way bred you look at? I should be picking my new pup up in about 5 weeks I’m really looking forward to training another pup up
  20. I suppose it depends on the types of nature the dogs that was used in the breeding of your dog mate you could take a stab in the dark An guess were the sensitivity came from but your never know tbh unless you know all the dogs on a personal level in the breeding. I’ve never known a bedlington x to be sensitive tbh I’ve been round quite a few over the years head strong or strong willed yes but never sensitive
  21. Ffs working lurcher self appointed Internet experts arguing over who’s the hardest An has the biggest dick in the forum ??why don’t you do us all a favour An meet each other half way an beat the shit out of one another??
  22. I get what your saying trenchfoot 100% about collie crosses being a bit sensitive at times. Terrier xs tick so many boxes if the right sorts can be obtained I’m running collie x bedlington/sight hound xs Home bred it’s been a game changer so easy to bring on everything seems smooth without any of the niggley bits what come with each of the base bloods can’t imagine wanting to own another type of animal any more I’ve found what suits me to a Tea for my needs
