I like post like this because all the dreamers can come out the wood work and tell a load of bull shit story that didn’t happen for a audience that can’t be proven wrong ??cracks me up same people will tell you they know a good dog but don’t have a dog there saying about that is good as the dog that’s long gone ironic that or they would be speaking of the dog they have now ?? people are gullible i for one don’t buy in to old legends as legends are amplified buy talk a normal dog can be made a legend by being talked up -

I lost enthusiasm for the game after a run of bad luck one young un dieing then the mother to the young un nearly paralysing her self for good then bred a replacement then that young un smashed a toe up proper run of bad luck one thing after another I almost said f**k it I’m done but the show must go on the world stands still for no man you fall off the horse you get straight back on

The bedlington whippet game cracks me up people paying up to £500 for a bedlington whippet it’s a lost cause most are bred from not even average dogs for money it’s not good when people are coming in to the working dog game they ask for advice on a good dog to get because there new to the game every one says get a beddy whippet then later on once the dogs due to be started it’s found wanting in nearly all directions bar a bit of light rabbit work don’t get me wrong I love the look of a bedlington whippet I’ve been round quite a few there definitely not what they used to be! the picture be -

Worst thing about gifting pups out in this game is judging who your gifting the pups to if like me you ain’t got a large circle of who you wish to associate with in this game it becomes difficult judging character who your gifting to ive had good an bad on both sides gifted An sold pups but the bad as out weighted the good in my view of people wanting pups from me there’s a lot of dick heads out there it’s changed my view big time on future plans on pushing forward of the type of dog I want to keep going with. Hard decisions will be made if I breed my replacements in future I’ll gift a few out -

When I bred I sold a couple of pups to cover food, vet checks, worming, chipping why would I drain my bitch an own funds for another man/men/womens gain to give pups away at my cost don’t make sense you need to break even without taking the piss out of working lads any litter to rear correctly cost money I think offering a couple of pups for sale as £150/180 is not the end of the world I don’t think most working dog lads if they got anything about them expect stuff for free any way they appreciate time an effort put in to well reared pup. I ? get what your on about when you see people offering pu -

Sounds like your living in a fantasy land mate looking for the holy grail no good dog is badly bred if it’s doing the job and as age and experience on there side it’s still a gamble either way the offspring either will or they won’t it’s a gamble either way take your pick have a gamble ??
-
If they’ve got heart there do the job but no need to rush them to find out if they got heart let them mature properly get a good bond with the dog size is just numbers I can think of 3 local dogs over the years that have put the big dog big gear theory to bed well An truly with small dogs ...you sound like your buying in to this you need a big specialist bred dog 5nights a week working them bull shit through out the season

Hardest choice of all picking your keeper with both my litters I got it down to 2 that I really liked then I was stuck on what one to keep

Back to the hot weather exercise = At this time of year not a lot keep dogs well watered and shaded evening distance walk across country if they get there selfs a run if it presents its self so be it I get down to a few brooks I change walk routes regularly so I can check land out this time of year is boring as shit with fields full of crops and walking routes over grown
