sammy hasnt had good health for a few good years was speaking to him for ages at welsh game fair few year ago but havnt seen him around lately . -
a mate who I run daytime with sometimes brings along a mate who regularly does this slips ,slips his dog in when the quarry is tied up and about to be caught. right feckin pain in the arse he is and this is after being told at start of day not to do it .and to make matters worse he should know better cos he is far far from being a youngster .

go to your chemist or pharmacy and buy a bottle of FRIARS BALSAM brilliant stuff but watch you don't put it on in the house because it stains big time but certainly does the job in stopping bleeding ears or tails wouldn't be without a bottle myself.

the coursing club I used to run in had a vet who was a member but stopped when the ban came in,. pity as he was a great bloke my vet who I use is all for hunting and feildsports of all kinds and is brilliant with running dogs.

could not agree more with above topics and have argued the fact many times with many people,who still do not get it . ime with chalky on the early shows can remember over thirty year ago judging and coming out with hands stinking dirty and full of grease.the overall condition and wellbeing of the lurcher has improved tenfold over the years and a lot of this is down to the lurcher shows in general.if everyone going to a lurcher show went with the main intention being of having a good time and the craic they would enjoy it a lot more .I don't go to any shows unless I am asked to judge one but ha

did 5 out of 8 runs once but have seen 8 caught single handed and following week litter sister to this dog caught 9 all single handed and all given fair starts ,all dogs and hares mentioned were caught in front of a load of people to verify it .some are members on here this was on the fens in jan and early feba year before the ban came in .

most of the top coursing lines in this country are very tightly bred and close lines, any influx of genuine working saluki breeding from outside the uk has to be of benefit imo .

What is your opinion on them? I dont think they have anything to add to add to our uk lurchers that is not already here Genuine question Iam not looking for an argument they would widen the gene pool of salukis in this country if nothing else and it would be from proven working stock which has to help.

there was never a bad dog won the forley then or now. but pre ban it had to be something a real bit special to get to the final . theres still very good dogs and dog men still running but a lot dont want the hassle that comes with competitions nowadays . -

say what you like about her she was her own woman and stood by her convictions and something else about her she would never have given in to pressure like blair was and allowed the hunting ban to be put in place . or come out and say later it was one of biggest regrets like he did .they didn't call her the iron lady for nothing . rip Maggie gone but I bet never forgotten .

not sure of percentage wise of mine but templeking can tell you he bred her . whatever percentage she was one things for certain she was a hell of a good bitch in the day on feild or fen and no cover would stop her .

i had a saluki x irish terrier bred by templeking best day dog ever owned but my opinion is a good dog is a good dog and will kill hares anywhere.

videos just shows, never judge something by hearsay or untill you have heard or seen both sides both dogs ran the hare well and showed two completely differant runnin g styles .
