  3. baw dont think its only the plodders that can catch on the big land plenty of other types can and do on a regular basis in fact theres not many i know of nowadays who run that type of dog most prefer the faster type with things as they are regarding the ban.what i was saying was i have seen quite a lot of lampers lying on their bed exhausted after a day out on the big land, that is not being detrimental to the dog or their owners who are freinds of mine and keep their dogs very fit and are good stockmen but and its a big but take the day dog out on the lamp and he will run all nightand still
  4. It's not just daywalkers that know how to condition dogs and feed them the best, far from it, and alot of em could still learn alot from those that aint into matching their dogs shaaark 99% of daywalkers do not match their dogs and do not broadcast it on a internet forum what their doing with their dogs but what i will say is ive seen a lot of lamp dogs whos owners considered them very lamp fit come out for a days running on longears on big land with no hiding places .and their dogs havnt been able to get of their beds for days and gone of their food .and ive seen this more than the once or t

  10. theres always been small and large lurchers that could catch then but myself always found most of the really good ones have been beetween 23 and 26 tts as a rule .as i said always exceptions to this ,and at the end of the day its the size of the heart not the size of the dog that puts things on the floor
  11. bigears there would not be many that would be better than the bitch their talking about .i dont beleive all this best in the country lark but the bitch in question really is something else .she really is the real deal.

  14. had all my greyhound bitches on the pill its exactly the same pill that women take you get a prescription from your vet and take it to your local pharmacy it has to be a special wording on it or the pharmacy will not give it you . when i took my bitch of it she came in to season and bred a healthy litter of ten pups .
  15. I can sympathise with your annoyance Baw, but as for Lucas ,though I have not seen him run myself, a couple of respected. experienced dog men, whose opinions I trust have and they rate him a very good animal indeed. On some land a lot of decent dogs can make a catch or two,and flatter only to deceive when they are on other ground where the quarry is either turbo-charged and straight lines them.or there is an abundance of hedges and drains for them to throw off the dog and pipe into. The fact that his owner has been willing to run him in public out of his comfort zone of home ground ,speak
  16. Aye, guaranteed to be £100 lighter in the pocket cant see anyone selling a well bred coursing pup for £100
  17. Hare...... Mediocre..... Video you only see the catches never a truer word spoken all the dvds are edited to show what they catch never what they miss which a lot of the times are much better runs .
  18. Maybe there just boys, as he said, that dont know any better. Lets face it, it dont take much of a dog to catch a pregnant doe, now does it.
  19. Not quite sure what you said there.
  20. How long were the slips? Ive seen several small dogs take hares on 80yd slips, so have you. Bred by a man you run with in the club.
  21. My good [BANNED TEXT] who lives on the fens, has said to me many times, that real coursing men, with real dogs end there season about now. As there are babys being born. He recons the only people out now are boys with crap dogs that dont know any better. These boys will never make coursing men, As they dont understand that by killing pregnant does you ruin the stock for next year. I personly have to agree with him. How many real coursing men are there on this site. He also says that real coursing men would never slip under 70 yards law, only boys with crap dogs would slip less than this range.
  22. my son just brought me a pair back from america cost him £12 for the latest ones this country is a rip of .
