  2. Just say the poor wee birdys flew into your window and you were taking care of them until they were all better.
  3. The man makes a fair point - there are a lot of scum and dick heads with dogs now, you see the posts 'my double hard bullx smashed da fox' and they dress in all kids of ways, as do good hunters and dogmen. Only thing you can do is try and educate folk, but some cant be educated and they ruin it for all of us.
  4. Saluki/bull/grey would be my guess.
  5. Good company on a long day, find the rabbits above ground and put them below ground, find warrens in the woodland, find the hidden bolt holes at the warren, mark the warrens with rabbits in and the hole to which they are nearest, guard the holes while i'm netting up, follow the action below ground so i know where the rabbits are likely to bolt from and where the ferrets are etc, hold anything that hits a net, catch any that miss the nets or at least run them back to ground, and keep you warm while your waiting on a slow bolt. That would do it for me.
  6. I think your looking at it all wrong and are being pretty narrow minded. Whilst it's all very well doing what you do with pride etc and not covering up for anyone, you have to remember that any small rural community in that area would make the majority of its income from tourists during the summer season. It's fairly understandable and predictable that if the deer herds are being culled all summer and there are truck loads of carcasses in the village square then tourism will take a down turn and the local economy could seriously suffer.
  7. Day off tomo!

  8. So they spent 300,000 + to tell us what crimes where rather than using the money to reduce the crime. Nice one.
  9. Unfortunatly we have now created a situation where we do 'need' both groups sadly. Don't blame the cogs, blame the machine.
  10. Sorry i think i didnt make the point properly. We are currently awaiting huge cuts, especially in the public sector. Companies like boots exploit a legal loop hole to keep most of their money off shore, move it about and avoid tax, actions which if an individual commited would be deemed a crime and they would be punished. Obviously major companies lobby the government to keep things in their favour by using the threat of removal of their company from the economy. However - we are not talking about primary/secondary industry which could move their plants over seas - their plants are ALREADY ove
  11. want to try it on my eagle owl on lamp,,, Lets double them up on a unicorn
  12. Yup - thats where 25 billion that should be going into our economy goes every year.
  13. Boots have moved their headquarters to a PO BOX in Switzerland, thus avoiding paying the u.k gov about 100Million in tax. We try to blame the immigrants etc for tax cuts, but it's these big companies that are one of the main roots of the problem.
  14. If a beddy can do it and a whip can do it then a bedyxwhip can do it.
  15. I'd worry about all the blood in my line. Otherwise whats the point? No point fannying about with half measures. If your going to do something, take the time to do it right and you only got to do it once.
  16. Got a real mean fox here, taken 12 lurchers, 7 terriers, 3 whippets and a saluki this year All single handed

  18. Sorry mate i meant there is a misconception that 'greyhound' ferrets are a small type ferret smaller than normal whereas in fact greyhound ferrets . . . . look like greyhounds, long, really roach back, pointed nose and normally albino it seems.
  19. Pup surprised the f**k out of me earlier!!!!

I heard that mate....well done Finn

  20. This thing about poleys being better workers, albinos being more docile. . . . well you get albino/poley from the same litter - so i dont think you can use color as any kind of guide to behaviour. I have albinos, poleys, silvers, sandys (by accident of breeding rather than choice)most of which are related and all work as well but in different ways (more to do with individual personality, size and sex than color). To the O.P - Greyhound ferrets are not tiny.
  21. Aye f*****g hormones, mine are all acting a bit wierd, either just fannying about and not hunting proper, or being mardy.
