But why, of, why do you want to breed? Your saying 'you just fancy it', now do you REALLY think, that is a good enough reason to breed/create 20 new animals? And if you really needed a kit or two and had to breed, then why both ferrets???? Read, research, learn from others. So your going to breed because you 'like ferrets there good animals". Do you need the 20 kits? Are your ferrets the best in your area, that you know of etc etc so worth breeding?

I know mate, i should have put it different. If your looking at a litter and the pup that stands out as the biggest, most outgoing etc etc etc is black, and there are 5 other blacks, and one wee brindle/blue thats in the litter, most folk will pick the brindle/blue. When you look at a liter, pick the best pup, if its black i'm sure your missus will learn to live with the color, quicker than you would live with a sub-standard pup. Its the same with sex for me, if i'm wanting a bitch, but there is an outstanding dog, then i'm going home with a dog. . . . . . . and she can always buy it a we

Agree 100% and as for the ppl saying drive but dont rip up the land its un-avoidable if its catchable were going for it and to all you "by the book" walking lads can put more tackle in-front of the dogs in a night that most will in a month on foot SIMPLE Nice attitude.

I don't, don't give a rats how they govern themselves, we still havn't got the hang of how to govern ourselves yet. That might be a better thing to sort out first. Also, not including soldiers wages etc we have spent over 20 billion over the last decade re-arranging the landscape in iraq/afghan. Just a waste of time and money, let them crack on.

Didnt read to see if it was mentioned but put some tubing in their run. Don't use jays fluid. Handle lots. Whistle/squeek when calling over/feeding (helps later). Give them some whole carcass if you can. No pork. Lots of water. Watch out for tics (get a tic picker). Eggs, fish, meat all good. Mine quite like a ball.

Right so you have four ferrets, just started and now your going to breed another 20 new ferrets? cos four aint enough? and you know all about raising a couple of litter of kits and you have homes for them all cos they are such good workers right? There are a lot of questions you should ask yourself before you breed any animal. Just a thought How old are you?

I think you will find that wherever in the world you are if there is a means of feeding yourself there is a man that is using it. Especially amongst 'first peoples' and crazy back to nature rednecks/hippys.

3 is as much hassle os 2, and i hate splitting up an established social group, you never know what odd reaction you might get, and you will probably end up giving away the best worker. Sods law that.
