  1. diffrent war altogether.the ira in there hey day wouldnt have done what those c**ts did.even though i despise them and what they did,im sure even a commited irishman would have said thats to far!i mean if an attack like 9/11 happened here.also the ira would have had no chance of getting thier hands on a dirty bomb, and even if they did i dont think they would use it.when that kind of attack is threatning,i would give them carte blanche on stopping it.blowing up planes and trying thier hardest to get thier hands on plutonium and other nasty stuff, that could affect this country and the WORLD for
  2. I'm not sure the two options are "do nothing" and "torture anyone who may have any idea what's going on, even if it's just cos they are the same color as the bad guys". . . . . . . You know me mate, i'd happily torture someone if i thought it was going to achieve something, but unfortunatly i just don't have one iota of faith in our government getting owt right. At the end of the day they don't give a f**k about those civilians who died, they just want the oil, money, votes and power, and by crucifying the odd person for crossing the line, while torturing a load more secretly they kin

  4. Firstly, torture is not a very effective method of information extraction, you'd be better of using certain drugs. Secondly, given our governments track record, i wouldnt trust them to make me a sandwich, let a lone decide on things like if it was appropriate to torture people. Thirdly, and no offense intended, a lot of the soldiers i have met where pig ignorant, wannabe hard men, who just wanted to 'f**k shit up' and play with guns.
  5. No mate, i think he was saying, beware all the knobs who want her just to sell her on, you are bound to get plenty of pms from that kind. For photos try using photobucket.
  6. There was a guy on here from anglesey a fair while ago who used to take good numbers running a pair of pure collies (1 at a time). They make cracking ferreting dogs.
  7. well we will have to agree to disagree then, cos i start my dogs young, an beleive it does them no harm, the guy that bred the pup an done what he says he done is no fool by any dogmans standards, if ye think he is mad or ye know better, match him lol "Match him". . . . .haha. Why would that prove that he aint mad? It's like the old, "i'm not sure how i'm gonna answer this one, so i'll just say, want a fight". Now i know f**k all about running hares really, not my thing, but surely you are way more likely to wreck the dogs taking that approach at 12 months, where if brought on a litt
  8. I had to open another account because of computor probs ,I make no secret about who I am , no wind up ,the conversation was real , Aye, you've cunningly hidden your identity in your under sig. . . . .
  9. Cheers guys. I have a half idea to try to catch at least one rabbit everyday this month, with the ferrets. As i have to walk the dog, so might as well take a stinker a long. Although i will probably not keep it up for the whole month, we shall see. It's funny, the 1,2,3's soon add up. Think i'm around the 45 mark for just under the last 2 weeks, with only one trip longer than 2 hours. And most of the time has just been walking and messing about rather than actual ferreting.
  10. How long since the accident? How much build up have you done before running it on game? Mine seriously f****d his leg hitting some sheet metal, took a lot of the muscle out, could see the bone from groin to ankle, the tendons and ligaments. He can now catch bunnies, but took time to heal, and a lot of slow build up, walking him a little bit at first and very slowly increasing it, a long with massages etc. And swimming. He still feels it after a few hard runs, but like i said, can catch bunnies.
  11. So when's the argument going to kick off then?
  12. Forgot to mention, the fastener on my bloody trousers broke, first fence i jumped and they were falling down for a good half hour until i realised i could use a poke net as a belt, a bright blue one at that. Must have looked like bloody compo to the old lady!
  13. Sounds like a cracking day, or should that be crackling. Being out in good company is what it's all about. Dogs and ferrets look in fine fettle. Well done lads!
  14. Didn't get home from work till fairly late today, but decided to still take a ferret and a few nets a long for the dogs walk. Went to check out a spot for saturdays next trip with Johnnyboy68. There seemed to be a few about, the dog was marking a few a long the way and put a few to ground in the cover and hedges, which i left for the weekend. On the way back to the car, got chatting with a nice old lady who said she had a few in her garden. And would i clear them sometime? The dog was having a play with her dog and a nose about and started marking a set on the edge of her lawn, a half doze
  15. I had a collie before, that was brought down from Scotland, strongest dog i've ever owned, like a fecking bear.
  16. Raw meat with a high fat content, such as pigeon, or other bird.
  17. I never said in a day mate and i agree you can only look at it over a season. I sort of used my grandad as a rule when i posted my last post. He came out the army and rented ground all over the place. He laid snares and ferreted and he made a mans weekly wage in 2 days at the rabbits..(so he told me, ki have no reason to disbelieve him). He was great at what he done and people told me that he learned them how to do it properly and how to be able to catch numbers. Yes maybe any idiot can go shooting them with a rifle but snaring and ferreting does contain a certain skill to catch and catch wel
  18. isnt the saluki purpose bred for that task . when for the last four thousand years they been used for killing wolves etc .if you research on the internet theres loads of footage of them doing it as well . i keep pures and hybrids and trust me .and people who know me will say the same if they didnt do as it says on the label.they wouldnt be here with me . The KC and the groomers are trying there best to reverse those 4000 years, if they are as good as your saying pures would be used a lot more than they are instead of there hybrids I think you will find that may be why some are
  19. In their country of origin they are used on EVERYTHING including boar, jackel, Gazelle and many more. . . .
  20. Ferrets are social creatures, keeping them a lone is not good in my opinion!
  21. I'm sure it will all come together eventually with the younger terrier, just keep at it with him mate!
  22. Never really enjoyed using the gun, it's ok, but the noise etc, kind of takes the quiet pleasure out of it for me. I love working the dog, ferrets and myself in harmony. I'd also rather hunt up woodland, or mountain land, find sets, get marks with the dog, put stuff to ground and ferret it out etc, then do big hedge rows on flat fields, no matter how much bigger the bag is.
  23. Just look out in the countryside. . . . it's telling us what is going to happen, lots of snow etc. I like it, no work and everything to ground!
