R.E doing it without dogs, 2 out of the 3 dogs were not in his field, and the 3rd was on it's way out of the field, and was at the time being held, on a lead, by a 14 year old lad, and is a whippet not a 27 inch bull x. We had just crossed from a paddock above his to one at the side, and were in the process of crossing the fence whilst i netted up the two holes on his side of the hedge/fence.     I haven't stuck up anything about the ferreting for the last couple of days because i've been too tired to sit and write a post. But thought i'd write up about yesterday. Decided as the rugby was on this morning, to go out for a mooch with Johnnyboy68 and Young Tom yesterday. I woke up at 6, feeling pretty rough after too much red wine and not enough sleep, sorted some bits out and went down to pick up Johnnyboy, got back to mine to meet Tom at 8.     I had a day today mate, it was one of them days, caught a few but it was hard work and we had a run in with a bell end. I'll stick a post up tomo. BUt seriously, we catch more rabbits on a Sunday. I'm not joking. Will be out tomo, after a wee lie in.

    All these folk saying the chop looks ametuer ish, or bruises the meat etc, or a "no no" (according to a DVD?!?!?!), obviously have never seen some one use the methos properly (of course they will say they will). It should take one, not particularly hard, but hard enought but decisive, little chop, not a fecking great karate chop, and the rabbit is instantly dead, and your meant to be hitting the base of the skull / very top of the spine, not hammering it's back and shoulders.

    To be fair we find we catch more rabbits on a sunday with the ferrets than any other day, as it is a day of rest, they are off work and all the shops are closed, so they spend more time in the warren. We also find we do particularly well in the early morning as most of then are usually having a lie in, and are often a little hung over so bolt easier. Best of luck. Jai.

    whats point in bumping your thread for lost dog an not answering questions ??? How thick are you? The man lost his dog, so i guess the answer to your question, 'how did you get on?" would be fairly crappy. And i assume he is bumping the thread to get more attention to it.

    Couple of questions. . . . . 1 - How long was the session? 2 - How long were the runs on average, as they have been described as 'grueling' and 3 - Is Windyhill for real, i mean seriously, no one can be that special needs and still operate a computer, surely?

    On foot..maybe 3 out of 5...from a motor..maybe 8or9 out of 10 Aye, that's the thing, you have to look beyond the number to see how good the dog is, and look at what's run to whats killed and how, if that makes sense?

    When you say 'fun' you mean a pointless slagging match and argument. To be honest my vote goes to the folk who come on here to just wind people up and start arguments. They must lead sad and pointless lives . . . . .

    Aye same. Although i don't expect much until the next season, and often leave them until feb time, so maybe 9/10 month before giving them a run out.

    really? wasn't it a little slack? Not really mate, she was in good shape. Hywel - it keeps me busy mate. And it gets the ferrets and dog fitter and sharper for when the cover dies back and we can hit them properly.

    It's a funny world we live in, we do a lot of f****d u stuff, arm some dodgy fuckers and then get very upset when said dodgy fuckers kill a couple of thousand folk in America, most likely with the help (or blind eye) of certain American fuckers, then the USA fuckers, invade some other unrelated fuckers in Iraq and it leads to the death of over 100,000 of the poor civilian fuckers there, and then a few of our fuckers in uniform batter a poor innocent f****r, cos he might know about some fuckers who might plant a bomb to kill the fuckers (us ) who wouldnt and (shouldnt) even be there in the firs
