  1. Been hearing that it's gone a bit quiet local mate? Bit worrying, what you reckon?
  2. I'll go anywhere for a few rabbits and a bit of a laugh mate Just let me know when and i'll bring some nets, ferrets and maybe the broken dog of mine. Be good to meet you mate, and ort is always good company
  3. Sounds like a good day outmate, and good on the wife for going a long, must be nice to have a family outing!
  4. Oh god. . . . too many. Ended up in another country. . . . a few times. The memorable ones being Czech Republic and Holland. Broke into the commonwealth swimming pool (in Barcelona i think) with a girl and decided on a bit of high board diving. Stole every road sign i could in a town and then re-distibuted them, creating my own unique traffic system. Stole a sofa from a house party and then numerous crates of milk and bread from shops and ended up setting up 'home' on the meadows in edinburgh. Tried to 'storm' Edinburgh castle. Slept with my lesbian next door neighbour.
  5. Sounds good mate! Cleared my inbox a bit, so you can PM me if you like. Cheers, Jai.
  6. Cheers malc. It was nice this morn, just a wee walk for a couple of hours, but then when the sun came out it was too warm, nothing to ground and after my tussle with the wire, i thought sitting in the garden with the mutt seemed like a better idea
  7. Where you from Jay. Atb Jai. haha.
  8. You would be better with a terrier x for your job maybe?? Aye mate, you are probably right! Planning a well bred collie x for the next pup, around xmas time. Something with a bit of coat. Although that's planned as a lamping dog. A little terrier x, like a beddy x or something would probably suit well, for the ferreting, something to take the knocks. If they were not so hard to come by, i would get a decent, well bred beddy, and eventually breed my own, with finn, but they are like rocking horse shit. I can't fault finn at all on his working ability though, he is a great fer
  9. Cheers guys! Tyla - it's ok mate, makes a nice change that it was me that hit it and not the mutt, i'm running out of bits to stitch up on him.
  10. Cheers mate, was planning a full day and hitting a decent amount, but it was not to be. Still, nice to get out for a couple of hours. It's still way to warm here and way to much cover to find much to ground.
  11. Got a box of bones, feathers, jars of sand, skulls etc, all bits and pieces i have picked up on my travells, that came to me at funny moments. Also got a few things from my grandfather, who was one of my best friends and a man i hugely respected, they include, some of his army gear from ww2, and a 'book of common prayer', in the back of which he wrote down every place he visited during the war, in many many countries, ironicly he wasn't religious at all. Apart from that, my ferrets, mutts and familly.
  12. Being as it was Sunday today, i had a full day at the rabbits planned with Johnnyboy and Young Tom. However due to unforseen circumstances, both had to cancel on me at very late notice. As a result i couldnt head where i had planned, being undermanned and under dogged. However i got up this morning and went out for a walk in the woods around first light, just for an hour or two, took the old jill Ruby and the mutt. Got the first mark on a fairly large set, netted up and stuck the old girl down, she shot down like a rocket, very happy to be back at it. A little rumbling and the first ra
  13. Result that mate!!!! Really glad for you. So what do you reckon happened, the ferrets saw rat and decided to escape and do some hunting on their own???
  14. It's everywhere mate. Seems the warm and wet has been good for it.
  15. Aye mate, always nice when the dog catches something different. Finn has had quite a few pheasants, which at times can be a bit embaressing As for the pics, it's an old camera of my old mans, and i'm not sure how long it's gonna last in my grubby pockets, it's already starting to die, so you won't have t endure them for long
  16. Aye mate, it's not bad, you can see my house in the second pic, it's the white dot in the distance, between the telegraph poles. I'm lucky enough to have permission on everything you can see in the pic up to there and just beyond. Hopefully rake will see and stick it up There are plenty of them around, and to be fair it's a pain in the ass, they distract the dog and i could do without the bollocking
  17. I usually agree with you mate, but i don't get why it's stupid to be looking at photos of fit running dogs, in the running dogs section of a hunting site? I mean, don't get me wrong i'd rather see a write up of a night out, but it beats the old, "if i put my mums shitzu, over my uncle jims pit bull, do you think they would smash da foxes, pre ban".
  18. Dog on first couple, on (their) right, second video, looks like a Karelian Bear dog.
  19. Finished work today, and decided to take the dog out and check out a bit that i am planning to ferret with johnnyboy68 on Sunday, and then possibly go and see if i could find something to bolt in a nice little copse on the hill above it. It was bloody warm, stupidly warm for October (anyone else getting fed up with this weather?). Anyway, had a good stroll, and checkout out the piece for Sunday, got some good marks and there was a fair bit of scent about, but i left it be for now, then went up to the copse via a piece of game cover that we pushed a decent sized dog fox out of the other
  20. Ok. . . . so start a good thread then? I'd rather look at photos of fit dogs than listen to a bunch of blokes argue.
  21. Wow, Psycho alert! What an idiot, and clearly a scum bag to talk about someones family like that. Go and play with traffic you sad little man.
  22. have i misread the section or you? The mods moved it
