Coursing doesnt have much to do with killing foxes bud? And as for the damage foxes do, and the ban etc. Well, i'm no anti, but mounted hunts are FECK all good for killing foxes. You sound a bit like an anti 'tearing chickens apart' Not saying you are, just that it's pretty silly language. They kill shit like anything else and you can't hate them for it, it's nature, just as killing them with a dog is. But unfortunatly the guns won I don't think the guns won anything...they've now moved up the ladder to one of the top targets of the antis. Same old story though, people no

It was gonna be whymerana or wiemerllama? So I thought i was fairly close. Weinerllama sounds best.
-
...the lamb's still been eaten... Aye, but now we know all about weimeranas and labs. . . . so that's handy. Fox has died of old age though

I totally agree that you have to put time into your animals, but you have to admit when it comes to ferrets, a lot of it is out of your hands, it terms of how they decide to work and how powerful their instinct, or their drive is. But aye you are right mate, you got to work with what you got

Fox eats lamb. And then 43 arguments later. . . . .

That kid was a fraud, mate. It was a set up job. I know some of the background story to it. That kid who was attacked lives down the road from Ideation, I've seen bigger scratches off brambles than that kid had. did'nt ideation put up something about a big cat last year could be the same one that the lad seen ? I did. And it turned out to be a proper hoax. The farmer in question was quite desperate to stop people coming onto his land. . . . . . for a particular reason lol. At the time, I just could find a reason why he would make it up. And the evidence looked good. But i

Albert; The lad saw nothing. It was a set up. Aimed at in some way provoking a friend of mine who is now dead and unable to defend himself. This one you mean? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/895643.stm How was a 11year old kid trying to provoke your friend? Went to school with that kid. . . . he was a tit. lol.

Can't be arsed to wade through it. But given the amount of hound packs, bushing packs, lampers, gun boys with NV, deer stalkers, foresty commission trail cams etc and every other fecker who lights to wander around the countryside proper. . . . . .. why has not ONE person who actually has some kind of scooby about nature, knocked one up????? I know cats are elusive and all that bollocks but sooner or later someone would have got concrete evidence, probably by treeing the fecker and shooting it. . . . . . . . . . this is the U.K not Canada. . . . it's a bloody postage stamp!!!!

Cracking. Pretty exposed place to have a litter.

The thing is, it depends what you classify as a ferret 'working well'. I think you are right, almost all ferrets will 'work' in the sense that they will go below ground and explore to an extent, out of curiosity, and will bolt rabbits by their presence in the warren. But there is a world of difference between that and a proper sharp working ferret, that scours the warren clean, and doesn't take 'no' for an answer. The old BOD's. . . . . Bolt Or Die! In general, I think that the over all quality of working ferrets has been falling, and I believe that as folk who work ferrets, it should be

Aye, I know that Gaff, that's why I asked. How come you stopped out of interest?

I have a cracking blade here, made by midnight, that I got from the Craigy Boy auction . . . . it's an ideal blade for what I want, and it kind of has a wee bit more meaning that one bought out right, so i'd love to get it well handled and a sheath etc made for it, so I can use it as my main knife. It's wasted sat in a drawer! So can anyone on here point me in the right direction of someone who can do it, because, whilst I'd love to have a crack, I don't want to f**k this knife up.

Right, so my old man is trying to re-establish a rabbit pen at our place again. Thing is the chickens have cleared it bare! So what he needs is to plant something that will give him some kind of patchy cover, like fern or reeds something like that, or some kind of scrubby/shrubby bush. So, before he heads off into the countryside with spade and sack. . . .. . .. . . any ideas what would be good to use, and of anywhere that some can be ordered??? Doesn't matter if minimum order is a little large, as we will chuck the excess somewhere on the shoot. Cheers, Jai.

I can see why folk get their backs up. At the end of the day, with any working animal, breeding best to best is the way forward, once that is established, then asthetics can come into it. Folk are just getting ranty, because of the worker or not bit. There are enough dark poleys around, to be looking for a good worker, who you ALSO like the color of. At the end of the day, blood DOES matter. But folk don't need to get rude about it, and I hope you find what you are looking for

What conclusive evidence of an entire breed being useless at a task . . . . . not
