  1. Fookin weakling Tell that to the pheasants
  2. . . . . . You find out that the the very small rabbit population that has been creeping back from total devastation (mixy/vhd) on your shoot, was shot last night by the estate owners son and just chucked in with the pigs.
  3. Your dog needed to be 100% with sheep as well, those mountain sheep have a smell on them and jump up out of bits of cover,a "stock broken"" dog could easy make a mistake first time it saw them. From what i seen any way. Yes, and I have witnessed it lots of times. Never a dog going all of the way (touch wood!) but seen plenty, including mine, start to give chase as they suddenly jump up out of the cover and bounce off, usually on their own. They look, smell and act like a wild animal. At the moment i'm teaching the hound not to run their lines. She won't chase the sheep itself, but s
  4. Yeah, the 3rd's really good...some cracking footage of a pup coming on...and what a pup it turns out to be...he'll be a proper dog man that lad Edwards...don't think you hear human voices more than twice over 3 DVDs... I'd strongly recommend theses DVDs to anyone who likes to see proper dogs graft hard... PM you in a bit... Ok matey Just heading out to feed pigs, check traps and give the mutts a stretch Speak later
  5. It has space now matey And you are right with what you say, and I think I might just watch them myself later. Only got the first two. Not seen the third. Is it as good? Pissing it down today, them hills will be really wild
  6. Checky fu@k 90% scrap collector now days a far away from travellers they just like think they are I know mate, it was a bit tongue in cheek. There is a world of difference between a true traveler and those who call them selves such, and go about stealing dogs, acting the hard man and generally f***ing people over. Only problem is that much of the time, for outsiders, from any kind of distance . . . . it's fairly tough to tell the difference. And unless i KNEW the people in question (you know I have friends from traveling backgrounds). . . . I wouldn't risk getting it wrong. I
  7. Low loader. . . . collecting scrap . . . . . nicking dogs. . . . . . . People of a nomadic persuasion by any chance?
  8. Aye, but when your youngest dog gets older. . . . your in for some fun thats my favouroute bit mate and if you watch the old lurcher hits him to bowl him over and then strikes...............thats the best bit of footage that bit and yes your dam right about people knocking the fella as not many dogs would draw cover and hunt like a hound to get a kill at the end ,..........they good dogs for sure.......the lad is on this site . It's my favorite bit as well. They are very smart dogs mate, not to mention agile, quick and with a nose like a bloodhound. Colliex, with a bit
  9. Keeps men and dogs fit mate And isn't it good when they disappear off over the hill and then you hear the noise
  10. Check out the 'Show us your bushing dogs' thread! It's great. AND COME ON MODS - GIVE US A SECTION!!!!!!!!
  11. In all seriousness. . . . Andrew did VERY well, to put up and kill the number of foxes he did, on that land. It's hardly alive with them, and it's a bleak, hard land. There are a few lads on here that (when legal) hunted the hill like that, and it's a pretty specialized form of fox control, which takes a certain kind of dog. A lot of dogs could kill charlie, but very few of those same dogs could consistently find the fecker up there in the first place. There is a scene where the fox and dog run the walls. What a bit of footage! And what a place. Wales 1234 knows what I mean I think
  12. Yes, his name is Andrew Edwards. They are probably my favorite lurcher films. Always make me laugh at folk who knock them, saying the dogs pick their strike etc etc etc. I'd love to see most dogs find a fox on them hills. . . . . you are hard pressed to see ANY living thing, other than sheep. Them dogs are good HUNTING dogs.
  13. why not? ive got a relatively small beddy whippet bitch 17tts, she hunts like a beddy but is built like a whippet, and she has caught loads of bolted rabbits on long courses upt dales, on some terrible ground and has never even knocked up a toe. i think her light weight means she gets no injuries. she is a great fun dog, the amount of times me and my pals have gone "oooohhh" and "ahhhhh" when she has grabbed hold of a bunny after a long course on limestone she is tough as old boots, and as sommeone pointed out to me, would a full whippet have the coat or skin to manage all day in the h

  16. That's 3million 200'000 quid over 30 years if he has caught 200'000 at that rate. Not bad.
  17. Just to always be in good health until the day I croak.
  18. Aye, and send oot that address!
  19. I'm sure someone could put you in contact . . . . . . I've seen a couple of dogs from his line. Could do what you needed.
