I lived in Leicestershire 69 years I know the area very well and the St Matthews area includes houses an residents that are covered by Wikipedia come down and see it , it starts at Wharf Street and extends to Belgrave Road and up to Cathrine street thousands of houses Belgrave and Cathrine street is home to thousand of I ndians have a look at the Temple on Gypsy lane it is like something from a Disney Film ..

There is an estate in Leicester called St Matthews once it was full of life ,Pubs and Shops ,people born there loved it and no one wanted to leave then the Council said it was a Slum and pulled it all down and built flats then put 16 thousand Somali people there , they do no work and the Men hang around all day in Kish Shops , no woman in Her right mind will walk through there or Men on there own , these people will kill you and everyone knows it . By the way ! 16 thousand was what the Council owned up to about ten years ago lots of people think that is now double that .

I am not talking about rough places I am saying that there are places where you cannot go if you are not of a specific religion and it gets worse every time I visit

There are plenty of Roads in Leicester that are no go areas for White people though the Police and Council say there are not but none of them would walk down them alone at night .

Never liked Steak much I prefer Ox-tail, Breast of Lamb, or Belly of Pork, Steak as always tasted bland to me and has to be burnt or in a sauce to have any flavour .

Planning ahead for next season I have decided to do a lot more Snaring and as the land up here is very Peaty unlike Leicestershire Clay i have started to make some longer Pegs another change for me is the choice of Wood and as it is available I have used Alder it is tough ,light and easy to Whittle

I have never caught a Hedgehog in one but when I was a kid I often caught them in Gin traps that were set in holes in Stone walls

Not to bothered about knives other than I like to keep them Razor sharp but many years ago I read an article on fighting Knives one of the knives reviewed was the Bowie knife , it was to be used in a Chopping motion as the Hilt and Blade were hollow and partly filled with Mercury so when swung the weight was transferred to the tip of the weapon and giving your opponent a Jolly good Belt .

This place in Leicestershire is always good for a Rabbit or two mainly on a Rabbit fence next to the road but the other side of the field is the Railway line there are a good few there but hard to get at if a hole appears in the fence the tenant repairs it as soon as it's seen so you have to set every chance you get.

They come off the motorway and there is a lot of light pollution when I was living there I used to ferret them into long nets in the hedges but it was easier snaring them
