Was not the Chap who calls his self THE WARRENER up Court recently for using a Stink Pit to snare Foxes and leaving Snared Rabbits unattended . I recall him being charged but I never heard the outcome .

I see things like this more and more are the Gamekeepers up in the North under a great deal of pressure to produce greater bags of Birds and Fish ? on one place in Leicestershire the Gaffer told the Syndicate that they were there to shoot Pheasants and Partridge and nothing else on their first day last year one of the guns shot a duck the Boss heard about it and wanted the lot of them off that day , I've been on that patch for 50 years and all I've ever been told was to fill my digs in and even though the Boss is a mate I would be gone in a hour if I didn't .

When we younger we used to go to Snettersham , a place called Shepherds Point this would have 75 /76 half way down the on the left was a large field running up to a long Wood , between the Wood and the Field was a single row of large Bales of straw about 3 hundred yards long , I drove over the Field because one of the Kids saw some Rabbits running about now I have seen places before Mixi and after which held a lot of Rabbits but nothing like this they went over the Bales in a stream hundreds of them , the saturation point for Rabbits is 30 per Acre and to me it looked to be more , as I

The best shooting that I have ever seen was done by a very old Game keeper in Leicestershire, we were walking up a Gorse covered hill and he stopped and shot a Rabbit at 50yards he used a pre War German 22 with a Thrupenny Bit Barrel and Aperture Sights as I took it of off his dog he shot another one at 60 yards no sticks , telescopic sights , or any type of rest he just stood there and done it, pretty good by my Standards .

Drinking Water is important too at least 6 glasses a day as for diet I do not eat any ready meals and only a small amount of processed meat, I have been on the tablets over thirty years and stick to all the rules but over the last two Weeks its gone haywire .

Just to be clear on this ………..in over 60 years Ferreting I have never owned one that would not Kill in ……...I have owned Ferrets that have been given every opportunity to work in shallow Rabbit filled setts but would not so had to be killed [I would not pass an animal on ]…………. though I have many bags of Rabbits numbering20+ in my life time I cannot once recall not having to dig. ………. I know a few lads who catch a lot of Rabbits on a Weekly basis these range between 50/100 + they have been doing it for years and often shown Pictures and given accounts on here when it was a more hands

Had to cancel Rumania so we shall go Whitby then travel on elsewhere that is similar on either the West coast or North coast, can anyone recommend a place that has a Quay , Chip shop and Pub Please.
