    Though I said it was the best Rabbiting dog I have seen doing that type of work it is the only one I have ever seen that's been any good many years ago a lad had a big Black Whippet that he thought was the best in the World and when it was tested it was about as good as the British Heavyweights

    My book too , but I have told this tale before and I have been told it is nothing compared to lamping or bolted Rabbits with that I agree but Rabbits flushed from a Hedgerow in Winter will soon show you the stamp of a dog .

    The best Rabbit dog by far that I have ever seen was a Whippet Bitch belonging to a mate of mine , I saw it catch 12 Rabbits on the trot this does not seem many with what some Lurchers can do on the lamp or with Ferreted Rabbits these were Midlands Rabbits pushed out of Hedges and Woods by a Spaniel Cross the Bitch was around 18/19 TTS and knew its job but as all Whippets it had a Mouse's Skin

    My eldest lad started work on a site at Rugby yesterday and the agent was a Jamacan they were talking about Cricket and things I general and Sam mentioned that I had an Uncle who was Murdered by three men who were robbing his work place, at the trial one got Life and two got the Death sentence "my Farther would have known them " said the agent, "how 's that" said Sam "because he was the Hangman " was his reply .

    They were doing a Game Fish survey outside our house today I saw them pull lots of tiddlers out but nothing of any size , the amount of kit and Containers they have I expect them to be here a few days .

    This place was loaded with Rabbits and two of my lads shot a lot over a Week when I went the Foxes took everything I think they had been there all the previous Week clearing up after they had been round the night I set my wires what they did not take they smashed up , the Tinkers

    I took all my Five out as they grew up the two in the picture packed it in when they started Boxing the eldest lasted till he started Marrying girls he's on his Fourth now ……. always thought there was summat odd about him .

    I have to bring these down they are both leaning on another tree 1 ,17 DIA , 15 DIA [inches ] the first two feet of each is rotten the rest is bone dry and heavy , one is 20feet the other is thirty feet the only place to stand is at the base of each tree and it is not possible to run … is there a safe way ? it is not an option to use a ladder.
