  1. In what way, are you getting bad catches? What I like most about BMI's is that the trigger system is pretty slick. Yes, I've changed trigger formation to suit my needs, but never really needed to file triggers or dogs with that make of trap
  2. Why not the outside notch laddie? I only use the outside notch, no matter what I'm trapping
  3. I had the same thing. Thought I had placed the camera too high, and that it wasn't detecting what was going on, on ground level. Swapped it around with the "back from the dead" real cheapo one, and it caught anything that moved.
  4. You over there now mackem? Do you have to be a permanent resident, to trap there?
  5. I've read, that beaver caster is worth a few bob. Definitely worth harvesting.
  6. I hear Possum are the greatest challenge?
  7. Does the fur prime up well where you are wolfdog? Do you ever tan the furs, or send them to be tanned?
  8. Glenn is known by many in the US. He was good friends with Johnny Thorpe, and he trapped out in Canada for some time. He snares mink in a similar way to Eric Space, and just like Eric, he is a master mink snares.
  9. All fine here lad. Both very busy. Hoping to get out next month and set some traps
  10. He kept that quiet lol. Tell him myself and Lynne were asking for him?
  11. Yes, I agree, they can be very hit and miss. I got one from Chinaa few years back, for about €50 delivered. It has never given any trouble. In fact, it survived an overnight flood on the river. Don't know how it is still working. Opened it up, and left it in the hot press for a few months. Actually forgot it was there, till I needed it. At first, it left an awfull buzzing sound on the video's, but at least it worked. Now it's back to working perfect. Around the time that one got water logged, I ordered another one off Amazon. Different make this time, and it coat around a hundred bucks.
  12. I love em. Usually use video mode. Think it can tell you a lot about animal behaviour. The last one was a none target. Doubt if the 70mm hole stopped him from going in. Like the way he practically gave me the fingers before he left lol
  13. In my opinion, the Gin was one hell of a trap. The concept was that good, that very similar designs are still being used in several country's today. They were made in many different sizes to catch animals as small as a mouse, and as large as a badger, and they worked very very well. We tend to dismiss the idea of foot hold traps over this side of the waters, but there really is no contest, when it comes to catch rate for most species, compared to any other type of trap. I recon the Gin was as good a trap for catch rate, as any modern trap.
  14. Can afford a takeaway every night, but can't afford to get their bins emptied.
  15. Just found this band recently. They got a couple cracking songs. Nice build up to this one
  16. Always liked anything with a bit of moody piano in it
  17. According to yer man on the telly, you just bung it in the microwave for a few minutes
  18. It's mostly long eared owls, we hear around these parts
  19. Everything is more active around a full moon., and I mean everything. From animals to birds, to us humans, and even our intestinal parasites. Next time you intend to cleanse your intestinal system from parasites, dose yourself during a full moon, or new moon.?
  20. Nicely done micky. Have you many snares set?
  21. Clive, just goes to show, when you go out of your way to help people on here, it often results in getting a slap in the face. Like kids in a sweet shop. There'll always be the odd spoilt brat, that no matter what he gets, he'll still have a puss on his face.
