  1. Nicely done. Wish we had a few rabbits round here. Love a bit of snaring.
  2. This is an Irush supplier https://www.maceoinltd.com/mink-trap-single-entry-mink-cage-trap-gun-club-vermin-control-nargc-countryside-alliance-mink-trapping-snaring-hunting-ireland-uk-dingle/ They sell Springer version of the Fenn. Also a place in Laoise that sell Fenn and Bodygrips called Irish Wildlife Management Services. Personally, I buy from UK. Main't Fourteenacres, and Bushwear
  3. No. you would need to make one or use a wire CubbyGot some in New Zealand that work with a Fenn This is just one example. There's lots of similar brands on the market. You also have these from UK
  4. It'll work out if your not in any hurry for it lad. Just keep it out of reach of dogs and cats that could bring it off. Boiling etc might be quicker, but these little skulls are quite delicate. ive got the mesh lashed to a breeze block in my pile of rubble so hopefully i cant see it being taken away . I have a plan to get my friends camping stove and take it up my dads in the countryside to simmer for a few hours . Like you said im a bit worried about it all falling apart . I seriously considered getting some of those carrion bettles to clean it but they seemed a lot of effort for one mink

  6. If it were a big animal, yea it would stink the place out, but small skull hung from old unused stable, nearly forgot it was there. Lol
  7. Goodnature recommend that they are eplaced 10cm above ground. Good height for rats, stoats, hedgehogs and red squirrels. Putting them higher would minmise hedgehog kills but it would still make a mess of red squirrels. Tom Then you wouldn't use them in an area populated by red squirrels the same as you wouldn't use a fenn or body grip or Kania etc etc etc ....... But if you are after stoats, what do you do because stoats and red squirrels often co-exist in the same habitat? Or they certainly used to when I was growing up in the Highlands. Just noticed on the goodnature website it s
  8. You've got a hunting buddy for life there lad. Lots of memory's to be made, and the best kind of bringing up, a kid could wish for.
  9. If you look on the bottom bar of the screen you will see a box with CC in it, simply touch the box and CC should be un highlighted ( go grey) and the subtitles will stop, hope this is of help. Cheers lad! God i wish id known that before now. A well, you live and learn.
  10. He's got a great channel, but hate those subtitles. One, the guy's speaking English, and two, the subtitles ain't even close to accurate, so not even worth a dalm to the deaf.
  11. Yea, your probably right when it comes to wooden pegs, but I've always used steel with traps. They tend to take more abuse, in hard ground etc. Also I'm more confident using them, being more assured that a Fox or badger won't bring my trap away, whilst stealing a caught rabbit or squirrel.
  12. Here's a picture of the real thing. Was kindly given to me by Ditch, who used to be on here when this section was, let's say, busier!Lol Anyway, I don't know a whole lot about this hammer, apart from the make, which is Brades I believe. It's a good solid hammer, and obviously built to last. Be nice to know more about this brand of hammer,so if anyone has some knowledge, please share, thanks. Where's OTC when ya need him? lol
  13. OTC ain't been around for a while. Must be busy, or better things to be doing than mooching on here.
  14. Micky, is that a juby trap in the picture? Still not that well up on the older type traps, and very scarce over this side of the water. How do you rate them compared to other rabbit traps? Do you get many sprung traps compared to say a Fenn, or other type traps?
  15. They have a fine coate on them, don't they. Pity about the smell. Lol
  16. The head of that little Fox is spot on.
  17. Here's my first attempt of a skull. Not the cleanest looking skull, and lost a couple of little bottom teeth (butter fingers). Just left it out for a few months in an onion bag. I'm sure there's better and quicker ways. Lol
  18. That Fox is in great nick! Any pics of the set before you made the catch?
  19. What's the dementions of the trap? To most on this side of the pond, that trap is two small and narrow, to catch fox successfully. Not to say, it wouldn't, and obviously it works well for some of the species you have in the states.
  20. It's the RHVD virus jetro. This country is f****d with it.but would you not find dead rabbits around the way place then. Just in the door now after been out with the dogs and not one rabbit.Atb j I'm no expert lad, but they say that rabbits die underground. It's nothing like the mixi, where rabbits crawl around dying a slow death, and you can easily see that they are infected with it.

  22. Get an android box. You'll be cancelling sky too. Lol
