  1. That seems to be a lot of blood on that trap ..........its everywhere ? Yes, looks like he got a belt of a pole, or an air rifle pellet betweven the eye's.
  2. I presume the females are less active this time of year, mainly because they have young, and spend a lot of time in the drey's. Males are more active, looking for breeding females, and fighting other males.

Just something that comes to mind, and I don't pretend to know anything about big cats, but when was the footage captured? Does it coincide with a young cougar of that age? I assume they'd breed in the spring, and have their young late spring/summer?

what I don't get tomo is why can't normal ones escape? It could simply be, that they weren't as fashionable. Either that, or its simply a myth lol

You'd have thought but then although they are basically right for the job in practice I could be persuaded that they would avoid such a foreign beasty. Now, those Biggerstaff hounds are born and bred Cougar/African Leopard hounds, those fuckers aren't bred to shy away from such quarry. From what I've seen of them on social media, they're as serious about hound work and hunting as anyone! "For us it begins and ends with the hounds. They are our life and our passion. Our breeding program is simple- best to the best. If a dog wont put his nose down or doesnt have the heart and grit to hunt da

Bang on .......for me the whole secrecy and covertness of it all is more of a mystery than the mystery itself I,ve said it time and again I,m not being secret I want other people's opinions, I just don't want to put it on line it's only a small part of a big picture, and now I have found an area, I believe they are living in, no hounds, no shooters and acres of private woodland that hardly sees another human from one year to another, I would like to keep it like that as I believe I will get the photos everyone wants to see if I don't get rumbled first, Grayman, you owe nothing to no one on h

  23. Lol. Well all this talk about predators, I said i'd start a little conversation about the elusive Pine Marten. Love them or hate em, you gotta admire them. I mean, they are a fantastic predator ain't they. They can hunt on the ground, in tree's, can swim out to Islands to raid nests etc. Will tackle prey much larger than themselves, and even chase down a hare if it gets the opportunity. They are a thing of real beauty, but also very destructive if populations are too high. Very much protected here of course. They are still seen as Irelands rarest animal, but where I live, they are far

Here's one that was killed on the road in the late 80's. Their was suppose to be a lot of very big ferals seen over the years, in the same location as this lad was found. So interbreeding maybe? Holy feck eddie, thats identical to a big fooking cat my wee lurcher bitch caught in the donegal hills about ten year ago, small tail same colour, an it was a great catch, good battle but pepper prevailed, amazing Im no expert, but think one of the more distinguishing features of the jungle cats is those tufts of hair on top of the ears. If they were present, then maybe you had something speci

So interbreeding maybe? is that a lynx its got a very short tail The tail is short. Its said to be a jungle cat. Interestingly enough, there is a black version too. Wonder could these be mistaken for those bigger species of black cats?
