  1. in the bottom left of the bottom picture, is that a bit of eaten bird??? as you probably know that at about 10 weeks the base of there tails bleed when the first few feathers push through, so this could account for some of the blood...iv got to say iv seen some badly pecked birds but never to the stage of taking out its intestines... its strange there crap is normal as yellow runny crap is normally the first sign you get of your birds are ill... ask your vet where your nearest animal dieases / health lab is, if you do find one take a live bird to them as alot of bacterium start to die as soo

  3. there is few about 30 or 40 mile away in city parks, but never seen one closer than that.. heaving with reds though.. pm box cleared
  4. i live about 5 mile from the edge of the cairngorm national park in the highlands, its one of the last places to hold a good population of red squirels.. so you can imagine my face when a beater dropped a body in a bag , he had found it 2 mile down the road, and yes you guessed it it was a fecking grey fecker so looks as if i now may be able to join in on the squirel trapping threads, but to be honest im gutted.... was going to post in in general talk but thought id put it here instead

  7. as you say, good habitat is high up there, but vermin control is by far the most important.. different story if you have a big shoot close by, then feeders alone will work..

  9. yep, it just happened to our hill road contractors with a slu, 2,500 for a new pump, and all because someone put water in a diesel storage tank....tight c..t buying it on the cheap no doubt... the machine has sat there for over a week now...
  10. or greenlea thats advertised in alot of the mags and no doubt has a site on the net too, its in the top of the tyne valley... im no stalker, i shoot a few that get on my game covers as and when... just thought that if typing a few lines helps get a new stalker invoved in the sport then its surely worth it.... well done to the more regular users of this section..... not

  14. east coast viners, north east scotland, varies but was between 180 and 230 per tonn last year and cant see it coming down in price even if theres a good crop this year..
