  1. you may think there smart but if he thinks he can put such a fecking brief question up and expect answers that will tell him all he needs to know!!!! he to me seams as if he knows nothing at all regarding this subject and imo if they aint got the basics and try to go the whole mile in breeding and rearing then it will only end up one way , and thats a fecking shit short life for the unfortunate bird................ if he is serious get off to a game farm, offer a bit of free labour and LEARN the proper way..

  6. mark i wish you and your dog well, fingers crossed you shut some of these fen runners up....atleast your out and about doing it, where id dare bet alot of the anti mark brigade are to busy on the buttons to put into there dogs what it seams you put in to yours, so my hats off to you.... before i get jumped on , no iv never ran fen hares nor ever seen them run in person, so cant comment on what it takes to catch one,or used to take to catch one but what i can say is i run ground that holds similar numbers of rabbits to marks, and can say that on such ground, you can slip your dog for a rabbit,

  8. I was out dogging my pheshants back yesterday morning with my usual squad of my 3 spanials and my two fells... it was our first frost of the year, a cracker of a morning to be out .... i got to the first bit not long after 7, it was a broom bank about 100 yards deep and about 400 yards long... I cast them off to start hunting, and with in less than a minute one of the terriers started to open up :tongue4: ,what a bonus, i knew this was no pheshant!!! she certainly wasnt far behind what ever it was, i guessed at a fox or a feral... they sounded like they were heading down towards the river
