  1. yeah i get well into it, i just have to try and calm my heart beat from the adrenaline before the sqweeze on the trigger, its like i have the taliban in my sights and im behind a barrett 50 cal honestly!! well maybe not that bad but the actually stalk and setting up wind of your quarry and knowing the land and your quarry is the best bit of it really!!! well for me anyway
  2. mine was a rabbit i had at one of my permissions, ran off to 100 odd metres managed to stalk my way to a lasered distance of 60m, there was no wind and i was slightly elevated, made my adjustments for distance and took the shot best shot of my air rifle career so far,i will find that hard to beat but will keep on trying for that perfect shot!!
  3. the storm has the 18" barrel instead of the 12" which is the only real difference to be honest, i have custom made wooden fore-grip and pistol grip, high tensile s/s spring, extra heavy custom machined hammer, solid custom made top hat, valve stem and o ring mod on the valve insert.... got a couple of extra mods i want to do but waiting on funds... (24" custom walther match barrel, o ring mod on the breech, fluting to the breech)
  4. an FAC airrifle will give you a bit more range and hitting power but like already stated the damage will be more.... not as much as a rimmy but more than 12ftlb air rifle..... with a rimmy tho thats another big step up in range and damage which is sometimes a disadvantage for just say a small paddock or anywhere with a footpath near it (which a firearms officer would have to okay even allowing a rim fire rifle on that land) its a difficult one but i would need to have a very large shoot to justify a FAC rifle of anykind and if i did go FAC it would be either a .177 or .22 rimmy
  5. great shooting there bud!!! the tx200 is a cracking springer.... just sold my bsa lightening xl tactical.... think i need another tho!! ATB
  6. I am taking it to the farm this weekend. I cant wait. Its really quiet and very powerfull. Chronied it with JSB Jumbo (15.8gr) pellets at 870fps. nice bit of power too!! 26.56 ft lb that you be FAC in this country. thats looks like it should be a hollow point or HE pellet!! ATB
  7. Collared Doves The Collared Dove only arrived in the UK in the early 1950s, it had slowly made its way from India crossing Europe finally arriving in the UK in 1955. Initially it received the highest legal protection - in 1963 a boy in East Lothian was fined for shooting one ! In 1981 the legal protection was removed - the Collared Dove was no longer a rarity and was now an official pest. but of course you need to be withing the regs as aaron stated above and have 'just means'... ATB
  8. hello bud, i havent had experience with this rifle but thought you might want to take a little look at this?? http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews1134.html hope it helps??
  9. Hi mate just found this from Yahoo. (Pigeons I do believe feel love. They do mate for life and it has been proven that they will not take another mate after the death of their first one. Studies have shown that they will sometimes even stop eating after the loss and even in some cases commit suicide. They have purposely flown into moving cars when no other vehicles are around and into solid objects at speed, killing them instantly. If that is not love I don't know what is! Its both sad and beautiful at the same time. I would do the same thing if something happened to my fiance (My soul mat
  10. nice one bud!! big for that, you loving the rapid 7 then?? ATB
  11. first you have to set a budget... then do you want new or old? then would you prefer the flatter traj .177 or harder hitting .22? there is ALOT of great pcp's out there at the min and lots on here racking up great kills. bit more info and then it can narrow down a bit....
  12. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=147851&st=0&p=1494816entry1494816 done a pellet test with a few brands above and http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=149098&st=0&p=1507678entry1507678 and another test with some hollow points and other domes hope it helps??
  13. if your a good shot with a springer then you will be a GREAT shot with a pcp.... i have both but when i go into the field i always you the pcp.... could be that im always worried about a 'off' shot wounding the quarry and have more confidence in the pcp?? not sure but to say the least there a alot of quality springers out there!! si did a test on his AA pro sport and was shooting a kill zone out a stupid ranges!! so it really depends on your shooting... lazy or full bore

  17. sure does!! maybe there was a slight cross wind when you did your first zero?? which would of put it off?? and giving to a false zero?? or a small knock... i bloody kick mine over the other outing and had to go back and check the rifle was still 'on'.... it is a funny old one!! ATB
  18. nice one si, a great demonstration of marksmanship principles there, takes alot of skill and knowledge of your rifle to get those kinda results with a springer.....must be the gun.... very good!!
