  1. yeah i agree an aa s400 for £400 is a cracking deal and a new s200 for £350 is good too, i have a stirrup pump with my 500cc bottle on my storm... the only reason i can do that is i top it up after every outing... if i let it go all the way down which i did when drum did my valve work then it nearly took me 2 hours to pump up as they get very hot when you try to pump 3000psi into an empty bottle!!! if you get a diving bottle (3ltr 300bar new) is about £120 then just charge it up at a diving centre or similar when it runs out. i nice IR scope would be good for lamping good luck mate
  2. okay well thats a real mine field of a question.... okay... yes i think the more you pay for a gun the better accuracy you get but you are talking in the case of some guns a very tiny amount.. for example a BSA R10 is £599 gun only... a daystate air wolf MCT is £1100..... the accuracy when you are out hunting will but un-noticeable. Air arms s200 onwards get great feedback and like you say they are £400 upwards, falcons again are £400 upwards. if it was me and it was my first gun i would probably look at getting a well sorted 2nd hand one, no dought loads of lads on here have som
  3. i think zini could help with the scope idea as i was reading in the airgun world mag (dec 09) that did a test with the new R10 and it goes as follows.... " i think it would be better to have the sight mounting rail on it, rather than the grooves currently cut into the action block. this would not only look better, but raise the height of the scope by a few millimeters and allow the comfortable fitting of the 40mm objective scopes using low-medium mounts. the 40mm scope on the test rifle was no more that a thou' or two from touching the barrel shroud but it lined up perfectly with my eye, i
  4. hi there, no dought this topic is going to get alot of different answers... well... it does depend on how much you have to spend to start with , also when you go down the pre charged route you have to think how you will re-fill your rifle (buddy bottle, stirrup pump, or just down the diving centre) money no object i might be tempted to go daystate air wolf mct, theoben rapid mkII or the ripley elite (im sure the guys on here will give pros and cons for each) middle range is the BSA R10 (considering myself) air arms s510 (there a link on here showing a vid of pelet on pellet accura
  5. i must admit, and probably gona get some stick for this (error of my ways.. .) i went down the tacticool route when i first got my gunpower storm..... http://www.youtube.com/user/lexreal82 ha ha i loved it all future looking and that and it worked great in my 50m garden with targets but....... when i took it to the field i saw the errors of my ways, it was too heavy so the following weekend all of it came off, stripped back to basic's and much the better for it!! i now have a nice light gun thats powerful and doesnt give me arm ache when i take it out anyway i have learnt my

  11. hi guys, just thought id start a new topic of your shoot pics large and small. i had a great morning last sunday at a shoot of mine in kent, its a fairly small area of land (about 3 acres i guess) but its over run with squirrels and rabbits, anyway 10 mins in i got my first squirrel with a head shot, even though i have a silencer everything scattered for cover.... so i quietly worked my way down the field, when a rabbit bolted of the field to my left and stopped dead infront of me but stopped with just its head infront of a post so it couldn't see me?? aimed for a heart shot at only 20m an

  13. Do you mean the the little black derlin seal (were the valve stem pushes Into)? yes i have just had some valve work and mainspring + custom hammer mod done by drum (leupys gun shop) and drum really is as good as they make out, hes very busy but always returns emails even if theres a few days wait, he made me a new valve, derlin tip, steel custom top hat (seals nicer) plus loads of extra work plus he found out that the front valve insert (as pictured behind top hat) was machined too big for the valve stem so after getting a replacment one from gunpower in ashford drum did the o ring
