It's taken a year to figure out what you meant by this but you are 100% right and it's what I had been doing, trying to control/confront his energy. And having said that in answer to the following question nope things went slowly down hill again as I struggled to channel his energies, the e-collar has probably done a lot of bad and I stopped using it because it is pointless in our situation. I need to build up his enthusiasm to the point of bursting and then channel it rather than mute it which is exactly what an electric shock (no matter how small) baddly timed is going to do. If the dog sees you and the kids as the best thing since sliced bread you will have less problems with distractions etc. I'd make sure you ahve a really good and positive trainer first before getting the dog. Watch out for the gundog trainers they can come accross as very stern even fierce, if you attempt to 'copy' what they are doing you will become intimidating to the dog and it might end up scared or worried. Everything should be upbeat and fun and the bond is the most important thing. Best of luck mate

Thats the chainsaw one? Jesus christ I don't want to see anything like that it will be horendous. . Years ago I dowloaded a file called forgotten Russian soldier or soemthing similar (I was searching for WW2 video footage on the Eastern Front) and it was one of the Taliban decapitating a Russian Solder with a fecking Bowie knife...it took years to get the images out of my head and particularly the sound. It was one of those situations where you suddenly realise what it's going to be but can't stop watching

Our local Lib Dem councilor tried to imply that I was racist by voting UKIP, she then asked which immigrants I had a problem with so I just said...I don't have any problems with them She didn't have a canned answer for that one lol. I just said we want a referendum now, she said we are going to give you one but just not yet so I asked he how many Lib Dems voted for a referendum in the houses of commons the day before...she went bright red but didn't answer.
