    I've got a ph Yeh Schlumberger lol They had two wireline engineers beheaded in Algeria in the late 1990s Apparently they found their heads in the mud pits. Oh ffs it's wireline I'm looking at too! Do they mount 50 cals to the wireline trucks? I might put in a mod request! Theres a fifty Cal in the little box thing you see to the left of the picture. But that's guarding a big base not some expendable wireline truck

    Oil industry and general dogsbody I worked on the rigs for a service company mudlogging and later running down hole tools. I swore I would never work somewhere like that again after I left but then ended up working in Saudi then Libya after than ha ha...I think someone didn't like me.

    I think I'd have resigned myself to being killed tbh but yeh SAS would be my preference lol I've worked in places like that especially Algeria and in the last year I started to get more worried as the terrorism threat got bigger. Can't believe I was doing stuff like that for the money I was getting, there's people on the dole getting close to what I was earning there. I remember we had an alarm once. no one told us jack sh*t but all the soldiers were running round with their rifles etc. We were about as deep in to Algeria as you could get and to be honest I was pretty much kacking myself

    The SAS aren't magic though, plenty of special forces rescues have gone tits up. The Algeria thing could very well have been one of them, the terrorists were expecting an attack and were ready to die what ever happened. Also the Algerian army have been fighting terrorism for years and have some pretty decent forces. Sometimes there is nothing anyone can do against a suicidal enemy ready to die for their causes and make an example for the world to see.

    I'm with this guy http://www.slate.com/blogs/bad_astronomy/2013/09/20/et_claims_of_alien_life_in_earth_s_atmosphere_are_unfounded.html Just seems like they've not tried hard enough to rule out other more sensible possibilities. I'd be less surprised to learn that they have real evidence of this kind of life form on mars (Jury is still out on the AH 84001 sample) but in the end no matter how much we want something to be true they still need to be scientific about it.

    Personally I would not pay the chokes any thought whatsoever! you will generally either hit or miss and the last thing you need is to start worrying about things that make very little difference to your shooting. Pay all your attention to your stance and mount and things will be fine. The people you see mucking around with chokes at the clay ground are either experts or total crap

    My dad is 70. He can get on my nerves at times but all he wants is his lads to go fishing with him. I am the only one out of the three of us that does it I've suggested it to my brothers but they can't be arsed...one even said at his birthday that he was going to take him sea fishing but never did. I don't hate my brothers but I am not going to sooth their guilt when it is too late.
