  1. My second one is 7 and started being like that I have two huge scars on my fingers from when my eldest was having a screaming fit, she tried to storm out of the house and I put my hand out to stop her opening the front door. She pulled it so hard my hand went through the glass and the tendons in my fingers were nearly severed lol Mental and physical scars here lol
  2. I take it the boiler is still broken then? Yip............it works, just wont switch off so i have to switch it on and off at the mains every f*****g day!!..Cant set a timer either.......... Sounds like we have the same system ha ha. My control unit isn't working properly and the thermostat dial has a crack in it so when you move it you have to squeeze the dial for it to switch on. Mind you the person that decided to put a thermostat in the only room that doesn't have a radiator and has cold concrete floors needs a special award for being a fecking moron
  3. I had two brothers and no sisters. I always thought girls would be really easy and nice until I had two of my own Still I've never had to deal with them setting fire to next doors shed or destroying stuff like my mum had to so it's not all bad. My mum always says that the minute we all went quiet she would panic and rush to find us because we would be up to something bad lol

  5. Sounds like field engineer on MWD/LWD (measurement/logging whilst drilling) could be the ticket alternatively wireline logging. Both are field engineer jobs. If you have some knowledge of geoscience it can be helpful but to be honest a lot of them did some form of engineering degree and not geology like myself. The main difference between those two jobs is MWD is closer to a rotation but Wireline (especially Sclumberger) seem to get worked to death. Mudlogging is geoscience but working offshore, your job is to look at the cutting samples to make geological logs, gets boring quick and the pay i
  6. Is the solar enough on it's own for hot water in the summer? That looks the dogs bollocks man, I'm Jealous!!
  7. Blimey you are not wrong there! I was overseas when that happened, went away and she was 'normal' came home to Lynda Blair out of the exorcist. Don't worry R.A.W that little phase only lasts for 6 or 7 years
  8. I started out in mudlogging, it used to be 2 on and 2 off for me but I wasn't on a proper rotation like some of the others. In the end two weeks off wasn't enough, it took a few days to decompress after a job (usually came home after working nights) and then a few days before going back I'd get a bit stressed out so I went overseas to do longer hitches. For two years I was on 4 on 4 off which was the best really. Then I got a job as MWD running the down hole drilling tools, the hitches got longer (up to 7 or 8 weeks) and the time off less certain. After than I got in to geosteering which is wh
  9. I used to work off Aberdeen and Norwich. Got a bit boring so ended up going overseas to North Africa and the Middle East. Good luck Edit: Oh and LOL to the 'North Sea Tigers' they ran like fook when they had to come to the desert lol
  10. Even more manly is to save time by making all your phone calls while on the bog go to No 17

  15. That's a little before my time but Walshie will remember that
  16. I started watching it, it's not bad but a little predictable. I don't think anyone will ever beat 'The Wire'. That was the best TV I have ever seen.
  17. I think we're a much more powerful country that in the 1980s. Also in the late 1970s we were going to the IMF begging. As a military country we are way more powerful that in the 80s. Even without a carrier the Argies wouldn't dare attack us unlike in the 1980s where the UK was seen as a spent hasbeen ex colonial power which is partly why they did it, also they were given the impression we wouldn't stand up to them by many politicians. In the last 20 years we've done Iraq twice, Afghanistan, Sierra Leone, Yugoslavia and Libya and have been far more involved in shaping the world than in the 1980
  18. Really sorry to hear that mate. Our condolences and may he rest in peace.
  19. Any man who uses chemical weapons against his own people deserves to be bombed from on high. If my country had the capability I'd say the very same thing. But where is the evidence? Why would he do something that was going to guarantee his country being attacked?
