  1. i ve kept bull crosses for about 8 years and they suit me. but before that i had a 3/4 gh x 1/4 collie from hancock. really helpful chap and plenty of time to talk to you about your choice, did nt push for the sale at all. unfortunately the dog would nt even look at a fox but i know plenty that will from this line. i found the collie greyhound really simple to train and he was nice and steady.i would keep this cross again for sure but perhaps get a pup from tried and tested parents.

  7. 100 digs in two seasons........ If you dig EVERY Saturday and Sunday, that's 25 weeks (6 months) of solid digging!! I don't think there are many who can honestly claim that Not directed at you fella, just MHO A 2 year old dog will be lucky to have 1 full season under his belt a man with some common sense. at 2 and 3 year old they re still learning the game. a stud dog wants to see 5 good seasons work really . the first season would have been puppy places and shallow digs etc so the dog is almost 3 yr old by then and still not really been truly tested.you want to see the strength
  8. 410 hushpower is ideal. it does nt draw any attention and you ve got something you can use if you do get a bolt
  9. Nice too see you've got you're one and only jumper back on mate On the seriuos side shame about young Butch, hope you find the next great think shortly. 15. 2.5 tdi s are a bit thirsty. i had the 1.9 turbo on a w plate. cracking vans mate could even fit my quad in the back. don t leave the hand brake on in the cold weather as it freezes up. other than that reliable as hell
  16. tried a dog this way bred , genuine breeding as well had some of these in its pedigree. not impressed at all
  17. not all of them mate. i agree that a lot of them would be head the balls. getting wrecked and resting up for weeks and poor nose.i ve kept 2 . a half cross bitch who was a real cracker and steady with it and a three quarter patt quarter bull male.he was a good baying dog who would mix a bit but would stay all day. i never bred off either but often wondered what the off spring would be like.
  18. i have had the dog on anti biotics for a few days so i ll take him off them now and see if it makes any difference. he s eating and drinking ok but he s a bit de hydrated when you lift his scruff it stays there for a few seconds . thanks for the help
  19. could do with some sensible advice.i have a 6 year old patterdale who up until now has never suffered with any illness what so ever. yesterday he came in the house and stood wobbling forwards and back. then walked around real unsteady on his legs and fell on his side. i sat with the dog holding him and his head was shaking but his body was relaxed. there was no froth coming from his mouth but he kept licking his lips while he was fitting and his eyes were glazed over. after about 15 mins he came round stood up then threw up and then went and lay asleep for an hour or so. i kept checking on him
  20. i agree . when in a fair size dig the box gives the same reading say 0.3 for eg in one corner of the dig and the same at the opposite corner. and the dog had a mouthful and was still. with the deben you could pinpoint the dog and get in quick if u needed to.
  21. no complaints so far mate. took mine out before the big freeze. had a good nights lamping even using it getting through fences gates etc and it lasted fine. the weight difference is unbelievable to the run of the mill belt packs .well worth changing over.
