  3. Watched a stoat working a massive warren a few years ago whilst planting trees...rabbits bolting continually...stoat only viewed a few times...and then not seen to come out so we guessed it must of killed below. Years ago i was walking up a track and heard the screams of a rabbit...i could see a stoat chasing it up a banking back towards some holes...they both went in and as i arrived above the holes they came out again where i shot them both. This bitch stoat made contact with the rabbit(which was a youngster) many times going by the screaming. The plot thickens
  4. "So are you laying claim to it's 'invention'? "Not quite Crow...I just came up with it myself around four years ago  . I had never seen its design before so i did "invent it" at that time. I didn't doubt that it had been done before and so did not apply for a patent ...The only other time i have seen that type of slip is my own and the one your own post. Hope that clears thing up.
  5. "IVE USED THAT TYPE OF SLIP LEAD FOR OVER 25 YRS " Kinell over 25 years...i only came up with it about 4 years ago, after not wishing to carry on running a dog with a collar on and using rope or a leather lead with the clip cut off. I also tried a fancy leather one with a spring release thinking these must be ideal ...I couldn't stand using it. The one described works a treat and is easily put in a pocket. If its lost, so what just make another. If a dog can be strangled/choked by this slip someone please explain how!!!

  15. "Am I cruel or a wildlife lover..............??????" Technically your an enigma or One that is puzzling, ambiguous, or inexplicable. I'd say your a Countryman. They will "never" understand, they are not "in" the circle of life, and death...to which all Countrymen belong and as such we will always be an enigma to them. If i remember rightly David Bellamy once told a fieldsports gathering " I don't like what you do, but for goodness sake keep on doing it". Had a similar experience to you Nelson. Went out foxing a few years ago. The weather had been bad for days, gales and heavy rain. We
