I agree but the article from the paper is the normal condescending, left wing shit. I suppose another thing is that it’s what you are exposed to growing up......it’s amazing what you can get used to. I was driving through London the other week with my little lad, down Whitechapel then following city road etc......the boy says “This don’t feel nice Dad, feels like you have to be worried”.......and I suppose in a way, he is right !......it’s just for an old bloke like me, when you have spent your whole life in a place, it comes to a point that you dont even notice the shit. Depends what you class as a “no go zone”........I mean, years ago if you take a place like the North Peckham Estate, the postmen went around 6 handed on giro cheque day and a cabby wouldn’t wait any longer than about 2 minutes. Ahh, mate, the 12” of Rock the Casbah was a regurlar on the record player and a bizarre mix with Skrewdeiver !! and various other bits and bobs ! Lol Still play Bragg in the car, not so much Weller now days but Kasabien and the FFs are well represented on my collection ! They sit in there with everything from Brutal Attack to Duelling Banjos, John Williams to King Kurt ! Its like musical personality disorder !

Don’t feel bad mate, my dirty little secret is that I really like Billy Bragg and Paul Weller.......can’t stand the politics but like that distinctly London flavour to their voices and music. I have not been there mate, but I hear you loud and clear. Every club is doing it with ground redevelopment etc......been saying it for years, they are going for the “American model” of team sport. Its all about brand establishment......I know all of that pal. it’s why I like non league......However, City are competing with clubs just like them and given the fact the playing field is level in that regard then I stick by what I said.

Mate, you know and I know that there will be city fans crawling out the woodwork all over the show.....from Bromley to Bhejing and Galway to Gants Hill......it’s just the nature of these type of fannies.
