Not really mate, if one becomes a problem I just set a wire but all the time they dont bother me then I don’t bother them.....im quiet happy to see them bizarre as that sounds. A stoat carrying a mouse stopped right beside the car yesterday, ran across in front of me and I stopped and it just stood there....love little encounters like that.

The south of England is a good few weeks in front of us in terms of trees blossoming and things growing so spring is only just arriving here at the moment so I have all that to look forward too.

Today’s jobs will include, maintenance on the chicken pen, tidying my workshop and cooking a nice veal tangine to be served with boiled rice, some poppadums and a glass of cider with loads of ice.....that will do I reckon, don’t want to knock myself out ! Lol

Have to say, it’s been alright. Made me much more focused on getting the little farm in a better working order, lines of production etc rather than just tossing it off. The family are all in one place, mucking in here and there....no rushing about to schools, jobs, college, nights out etc All having a laugh, the occasional ruck and generally enjoying each other company. Got bundles done, obviously no money coming in but f**k it.....you can’t go to all the weddings and none of the funerals in life.

To be fair, you’d want a few quid or some perks to have to go out and deal with the very worst humanity has to offer every day .......no wonder so many coppers booze. I don’t think I could do that, imagine nicking some utter scumbag or a child molester and working those type of cases every day......not being able to just stave their f***ing head in. The mental strain must be immense.

The amount of virtue signalling throughout this whole disaster has been truly sickening ! Even that stupid f***ing announcement from business about how they are “closing for the well being of staff and customers alike” .......f**k off like, you have to close so we don’t all f***ing die and because there’s no customers in the first place ! Some really great posts on this thread from lads, Greyman in particular.....I’m feeling ya mate Clarissa and latterly Chris Yates record mirror were imho remarkable and you won’t see their like again......truly wild fish that had grown naturally in a rich estate pond setting.......it really don’t get better than that. Id like to think that there are still specimen size carp lurking in some massive forgotten pit somewhere or the other. These modern strains of carp will never make old bones, they are engineered to eat, pack on weight and die.....and they hold very little magic f

When it comes to kitting up for anything correctly it just comes down to personality ........some lads are belt and braces OCD about things and others are just very casual about things. I fall into the former category, I like to be fully prepared and have all the right kit for anything I’m doing plus I just take the view that this virus is lethal and worse still it’s randomly lethal !.......if the simple act of just putting on a mask stacks the odds even slightly in my favour then I’m doing it, why wouldn’t you ?

Years ago it used to be a thing in the summer that a load of London people went off down to the country fruit picking and hopping.......it worked, but probably not for the government. These are the things we need to get back to.
