The point some folk are missing is, life is all about details. Get small things right and big things fall into place. A haircut, a blazer, black socks, shoes......it’s all petty little details but it matters because when you get used to keeping yourself squared away you are in the right mindset for doing things and learning things. Spend enough years in a playground and when you have listened to the same old faces tell you about their kids 8 millionth problem and how it’s not their fault and it’s all so unfair you will know just what I mean........and what’s more, you will know

When gunfire starts lads get scared, I’d not be one to mock them.......I bet there’s lads walking about with VCs that spent more than 5 minutes in a hole shitting it....... oh my good god.........Nowhereville USA, the dude has probably spent his entire career handing traffic tickets and having a jaw with the local shop owner over coffee. He hasn’t been to the Ranger School or training for SEAL team 6 week in, week out ! f**k sake, think about it !

That code will have been in place when the parents applied for a place at that school.....all the rules will probably be on the website, they will have got a copy in the info pack etc etc etc Don’t like the code, don’t go to that school......simple

Have you ever seen what a gunshot wound to the head looks like?.......you don’t just bat it off and fight on bravely wounded, your f***ing brains are all over the wall and that’s from a shotgun never mind a high velocity rifle. Get a grip mate.

I suppose it’s like anything else, we all like to think we would fix bayonets and charge blindly into the fray........but until you are on the ground and in the reality who knows. 6 minutes is barely enough time to access the situation and decide on a course of action.......this officer would have been just as useless dead I suppose. By the time he had made a plan of action it’s all over. This smells a little bit like the media trying to rubbish the armed person / first responder in a school idea.......and they will happily make this poor dude a pariah to suit their politics.

I totally agree with that mate, but what all these type of reports fail to mention is that schools do exactly as you say in that post......these reports are normally some tit with a massive chip on their shoulder and their enabler parent kicking up a fuss because they don’t want to do as they are f***ing told.

I understand your point mate, but I genuinely think you would think differently if you were involved in the day to day going’s on of a school. Just listening to some parents at parents evening would almost instantly make you realise why small potatoes like this matter pal. i sort of think, you ain’t there to “express yourself”......you are there to get the f**k on with it and not be a dick.

A description blokes like me of a certain age recognise mate. Schools by and large are a million miles in front of what we experienced as kids, young people are better too imho In my experience, lads like me who were wankers at school stayed wankers.......they did f**k all with their life except fall in and out of work / the pub / drugs and never had a penny to scratch their arse with. They contributed f**k all to the world. The kids that just conformed and got on with it seemed to go off and have much happier and productive lives. Getting involved with schools opened

Oddly enough something I have personal experience of. its nothing new, schools were doing this 30 years ago. i remember me and my pals all tramping up to the barber on the last day of the summer holidays and getting tram lines and all sorts shaved into our Barnet. Hey pesto, first day back, suspended and another 4 weeks off !! I was expelled at 14 and left school for good, so my “free as a bird” attitude didn’t exactly add to my education ! Surely a compelling case to ban mass ownership of knives or everyone should be subject to rigorous background checks and mental health assessment before you can buy that dinner service for your mates wedding gift?
