  1. On the far left is a tunnel i use to cover my traps.Next is the flat(hardground)holders. The next one is a holder i use in soft ground and the far right is a 116 bodygrip.
  2. :good:The pictures woulnt come up. i will try another post.Anyway this is a holder i make for hard ground where i cant get a normal holder into the ground
  3. Fair comment kiwi. Its not just the reliability, its like having a broom shank under your arm.I just dont like em
  4. My advise would be to stick to over and unders mate, theres very little to go wrong
  5. Theres very few new ideas these days moley .The mesh size is the only thind different between the above mensioned wire tunnel and the tunnels that ive used for years, and yes it was you that showed me that particular tunnel and yes its a better tunnel.(clever shit)
  6. All you want is some 2"x2" mesh.Cut it so its nine meshes long and four meshes wide.Bend it ( into a U shape) so you have two sides and a top, three meshes on each side and three meshes on the top. Where ever you set your bodygrip simply put the Mesh tunnel over the top, keeping your set legal. You can camoflage the tunnel with grasses and twigs if you want Heres a picture af a bodygrip set on a rabbit run through corn. All thats needed now is a mesh tunnel over the top of the trap
  7. Ide say that they are fox prints
  8. Kiwi, that rifle has a 1 in 14 twist in the barrel. This actually means that the barrel will not stabelize 55gr bullets properly. If it was the normal 1 in 12 twist it would shoot 55gr bullets really well. Your right in what you say about barrel care but that doesnt change the fact that he was using a too heavier bullet. If he tries 55gre again he will find his groups open up again. If he goes down to 40gr bullets it will shoot very well
  9. Nice shooting Foxey.Have you ever eaten Sika. Its very nice
  10. Is that Foxey ferreting with you Woodga??
  11. Foxgrunter,i think you will find that it was the bullet weight that sorted the trouble out.Mind you, good cleaning of your barrel will make you shoot better groups.
  12. Glad to hear you sorted it nutshot. If you stick to 50gr bullets or under you shouldnt have any more problems.Good luck mate
  13. OK,i will. Thanks again Smudge. Those Muddlers really work in the grey dark.Cant wait to try em.Chears mate
  14. Get yourself a openel.Sharp and small
  15. Thanks for tying these flys for me Smudge. They are spot on
  16. I think they where banned in 1958(not sure though). They where banned because they are cruel, holding there victims by the foot until someone checked the trap.Quite often the victims legs would be hanging on by liggerments and tendens. Mind you,the gin was the best trap ever used to catch rabbits. If it wasnt for Myxy the gin trap wouldnt have been banned when it was but they passed the ban when rabbits in this country where at a all time low
  17. Is that a filleting knife V.D?? good kill mate
  18. . There used to be another lad on hear with that name.I think he drowned in the Tyne
  19. I was just wondering Nutshot.Do you know what twist your 22.250 barrel is(they can have iether 1in12 or 1in14 twist). If your rifle has a 1in12 twist you need to be using 55gr bullets or heavier. If your barrel has a 1in14 twist then it wont stabelize 55gr bullets so you need to use 40-50 grain bullets. If you dont know what twist your gun has then try some 40gr bullets which will shoot well in both barrels.
  20. Thanks Smudge.Ill let you know how they get on.i,ll send you a nice trout through the post
  21. I do know that you do well with Fenns moley,BUT,lets put it this way,i think a better trap could be made to kill connies in there holes. You and i are getting ourselfs up to that permision i gave you and set a 100 fenn mk6s and film the kill the next morning. Then when we find that ime right(as usual)our coats are coming off and i will thrash you to within an inch of your life then set a fenn off on your cock.(mind you it probably wouldnt hurt you,the springs are that week on them fenns)
  22. Just a thought.Have you let anyone else try your rifle??It may be that you are twitching on the trigger pull or something similar?? And yes your right baldie about bullet development but its very interesing and its suprising how accurate you can be even with a standard hunting rifle. My mate has all the gear and i love messing about with home loads. That 6br my mate has is shockingly accurate over some very long ranges. His rifle scope and bipod weighs in at nearly 19pounds,f*****g heavy
  23. My mates a bench rest shooter. The other day we where out doing abit of paper punching at 200,300 and 400yds.He shoots a 6mm BR round (basically a shortened .243 round). His rifle is totaly custom build and cost a fortune. Now he loaded fifty bullets all with exactly the same powder weight and the same bullet heads. The fist ten bullets where seated 20thaw off the lanze and he shot 3" groups at 300yds. The second ten bullets where seated 15thaw off the lanze and he shot 4" groups at 300yds. The third ten bullets where seated 10thaw off the lanze and he shot 2" GROUPS AT 300YND. The fourth ten
