  12. Snares in the right hands are as effective as any other trapping method and are used in all kinds of situations where other methods wouldnt be as effective. For anyone to say which legal animals you should or should not use snares to catch or control has got blinkers on their eyes, it all depends on each individual situation your faced with. Give someone like woodga or old glenn waters 100 wires and you will see what a high trap to catch ratio looks like... Kind regards you people...p&g

  18. I know how much you have put into making your mk6,s as humane as possible moley and if anyone on hear has a right to an opinion on the killing profitiency (spelling lol)its you i have been raabit trapping with you on a number of occations and you are very carefull to set each trap to fire at its best but i still cant change my findings.i wastrapping rabbits in very sandy warrens on tne estate a number of years back and again was checking me traps three or even four times a day (i was very keen then lol).It was mid winter and their was alot of rabbits on that ground.Nearly every rabbit was stil
  19. A very good thread and some really good replies from men who do and dont just follow.Yeah you found the very same as i did Chalkwarren when you checked those traps and like me you filmed the poor struggling suffering animals caught in those cruel jaws.I felt guilt for setting such cruel traps but at the time had no other option but to use the fenns but now (thanks to people like yourself Chalkwarren)we have far more humane traps that we all have access to which is why i truly believe that those fenns should be a thing of the past just like the old steel (gin) trap...Thanks...P&G
  20. nice catch but got to say that those fenn mk6,s are totally inhumane traps.Ive done trials on them on both squirrels and rabbits.I set a line of 75 fenns in pre baited tunnnels and checked the traps three tims a day and found that eight out of ten of the squirrels were still very much alive.I had similar results with rabbits and as for mink well they are cruel i had to use drounding wires on all me fenns when on a mink line.Fortunetly they have passed the 116 bodygrips which i use for everything now.Its about time this country woke up and banned those fenns they are a cruel trap totally out da
